Oh my God! The worst I've ever seen!!!

For the first couple of years Aimco owned the property and it was at least bearable. However, fairfield bought them out and it was straight down hill after that. Managementýs demeaner towards residents became a nightmare They acted as if they were during me a favor rather than the other way around. Last spring it became very hot(mid 90's) and they would not cut the AC on. My apartment was so hot it was not even livable. When I complained to the office, they were very snooty and uncaring about the whole situation. They told me if I didn't like it I could just leave with a thirty day notice pending whether my lease was up. They also said very arrogantly (and this is just unbelievable), that there were still some tenants who were cold and wanted the heat on, so they were just compromising leaving everything off for now. <br> <br> <br>Also when fairfield took over, they made me sign a form stating that I am now aware that there is asbestaos(cancer causing substance) in my apartment until it can be remodeled. They told me, however, that it was safe but donýt hang anything from the ceiling or walls because it might disturb something.(They call that safe?) They said if I felt uncomfortable with it then I could just sign a whole new long lease in one of the remodeled apartments.(yeah that will be the day) <br> <br> <br>I can go on and on, especially with the unethical practices of the management. I agree 100% with the opinion dated 8/18/02. I was told one thing about the utilities and then they turn around and do another. Just terrible. They basically told me that I was a fool for believing them in the first place, but instead, should have had everything in writing. I don't know about you, but these are the type of people I choose not to associate with. And the staff wears these smiles that are so fake, it's enough to make a dog sick. I think I have said enough, even though I could write a book. The only thing I can say now is that I am at a new place and they are super. They have restored my faith in the human race. A faith that was once taken away by the management and staff at the mirage. It was that bad! I mean, afterall, I was just a person who kept my side of the street clean, never bothered anybody, treating others the way I wanted to be treated, and always and I mean always paid my rent on time without hesitation. What I got in return is incomprehensible to me. The only thing I did wrong was stay there too long. If you love pain and evil managements, then rent at the mirage, otherwise DON'T. <br> <br> <br>You donýt have to take my word for it, youýre welcome to see for yourself. But I certainly wouldnýt recommend it, because I would hate to see anyone have to go through what I went through at the mirage. <br>
