Fair Location, Parking is Scarce, No Sound Insulation
I lived at the Mirage for 14 months, so it wasn´t intolerable - it just wasn´t enjoyable.

Parking is a problem. The lots are full after 10PM and it´s a long walk from the East lot to the West Buildings. My car was towed one time because it "looked abandoned". I was out of town for a month and came back to a missing car and $200 (cash only) to get it back. Management told me it was ´tough luck´.

Crime is a problem in the parking lot. On two occassions, criminals broke into my car. I had hub caps stolen off one car. It can happen anywhere, but it seems to happen more often here.

The apartments are designed like old college dorms, or more aptly, prison. The halls are long and dark, and usually there are juveniles loitering in the hallway. It´s not unsafe, it´s just creepy.

The "Classic" units are run down. Frequently, you do not have water or air conditioning. You do not have any real control over the air conditioning in your unit. It´s a central unit and the temperature is outside of your circle of influence. It was too cold most of the time which might be good for others. I left windows open to warm up the place.

Property Management ranges from very good to apathetic, depending on who you deal with. I had bugs on several occassions and they had it sprayed quickly. Leaking plumbing was fixed within a couple hours. The refrigerator which froze everything, continued to freeze after repair. I could afford to have them come back as they thawed everything in the ´fridge in the repair process.

Many times lighting in the parking area was burned out and the lot was dark. On several occassions, the hall lighting was non existant. It took a week to get the lights fixed.

This place isn´t horrible, but there are so many places that are better. Much better.
