Sergio is wonderful. He has always been thorough and extremely knowledgeable. Chandy in the front office is also great and very helpful. It seems, however, that Greystar cares very little for the community, as they have cut the staff and its sad how much the community has fallen into disrepair.

Upstair tenant is very noisy. Poop is all over. Tree maintenance has gone down to zero. Parking garage needs to be swept or at least vacuum. Whole building needs painting or at least a wash. The hallways need cleaning and rails paint it.

Overall positive except we have upstairs neighbors that our often inconsiderate about the noise they make walking/stomping around (probably children). Management didn't seem to be able to help. Maintenence request are fufilled quickly usually within 1 day.

Been living here since 2020 and everything was great for the first year and a half to two years. Unfortunately all down hill from there, the community grounds are not as clean anymore, the pool/spa area is always filthy, no more community events and the staff/customer service is some of the worst I’ve come across.

Overall, it’s been decent. However, the cost-of-living in terms of rent has gotten astronomical and at its current rate is unsustainable. Additionally, it seems as though increasingly there are amenities that are having a cost that once did not have a cost.

Every time I complain to site manager or maintenance supervisor on how bad maintenance is managed they have come off as rude and defensive rather than trying to understand the situation. I am so fed up with the management at this site.

Love the location. Close to everything I can find food/goods/shopping you name it. The kitchen layout is really nice lots of lots of cabinets nice parking structure and amenities. Calypso is the nice place to live :) just a little bid noice from outside street and upstair apartment.

The new office manager has been doing a great job with events and getting things done. They listen and take action. The grills are always spotless after cleaning and the grounds are always kept clean. Looking forward to the next event.

The most pathetic apartment complex I have ever lived. Non cooperative staff specially the maintenance staff. You will have to wait for months to see her highness Manager, I can't access the clubhouse inspite of having access because keyfob will not open it. I moved in an apartment with one and a half year old used carpet and once I moved out of that apartment they charged me for the carpet replacement. There was nothing wrong with the carpet they never involved me in move out walk through. Never shared the pictures of the damaged carpet (as it was in good condition) and after 3 month on insisting they mailed me few pictures of underlay as a proof. They don't facilitate the tenants rather they are after their money. I would strongly recommend not to move here.

Location was a big factor. Calypso is conveniently located to a lot of places and close to freeways. The area is also quiet and residents seem respectful of one another. Maintenance team is also very quick to respond and does a great job.

The quality of the staff and facilities make Calypso a stand out place to live. The pools and gym are continuously well kept and clean. Very convenient location to Asian food and groceries and other stores. Closed gates make me feel safe. Doggy bag accomodations are truly the cherry on top.

As soon as I moved in, the police came to the house next door and I was very worried. Also, there wasn't much of an initial explanation. It's a pity that the mirror, window glass and screen door in the washroom are broken. And the office is always unoccupied. But people are kind so it's great.

Grounds unkept, understaffed, gates are broken and doesn’t unlock or lock, pay for every little thing, and old outdated and broken amenities and appliances. Staff is wonderful just over worked and underpaid and under appreciated. Especially since there is newer apartments with better amenities around

The amenities, units and staff make Calypso a wonderful place to live and play. We've been here for years and love it. The pool and gym are always clean, the landscaping is always neat and tidy and we've never had a delivery go missing in 6 years. That says a alot. If you're looking for a place near Irvine Calypso has got to be on your list.

Living here for the past 1+ years has been great - we love our unit, neighbors, location, etc. Management and all the staff are professional and always eager to address any of your concerns. The only downside is that there isn't much sense of security within the garage or outside your apartment. Although we live in Irvine which is generally safe, there is still risk. One of our cars was broken into in the garage here and valuable items were stolen. This was reported to management but all they said was sorry and moved on. The blame is not on them at all, but I think at least installing cameras in the publicly accessible parts of the complex would add a sense of security for everyone.

As I said at the beginning I absolutely love the management and staff that work here. They are lovely and really care about taking care of us. They provide a peaceful and safe place to live. And I love mg floor plan.. but Tathiana and Sergio are my favorite favorite. The others are so nice too. This is my favorite place I have ever lived!! Hands down. Like I said I wouldn’t change anything. Truly.. when I have an issue it’s taken care of immediately. Etc etc I love it! So geeky but I really do feel strongly about this. So hope this helps

Experience has been absolutely wonderful - the apartment is a steal for the large size and convenient location. All of the staff has been incredibly friendly to us and our dog - getting the occasional treat when visiting the leasing office! Beautifully up-kept and has very nice amenities, love the gym and pool.

Endorsement for Calypso

Happy to endorse Calypso for future and current residents. My wife and I have been living here for 3 years and have never had to a problem once. We’ve both lived at other apartments and have never had as enjoyable of an experience. When we first moved in, it was the beginning of the pandemic and leasing staff dropped off gift cards to ease fear of Covid. That gesture provides the perfect example of how living here is. You’re cared for and thought of. The only reason we would move is when we are ready to buy our home. Happy to encourage future residents to move here!

Pleasure Being A Resident

Happily writing a review as a 3 year resident here. My husband and I love it. We are well taken care of by staff, it’s clean and the community of residents have been highlights. Each time we have has a request, it is swiftly resolved by the amazing leasing team. I highly recommend becoming a resident! I’ve previously lived in Irvine Company properties and ran into several issues that made being a resident difficult. In our 3 years here, my husband and I have never been happier in an apartment. The only reason we’re leaving is so we can buy a house.

I have enjoyed living here greatly. It has been my favorite apt coMplex I’ve lived in. I hope to stay next year but the COVID inflation rates are not looking like so. However it is very clean and nice.
