Resident 2023 - 2024

9/17/2024

Please note the lowest available rating is a 1-star, I would've given 0-stars for some of the ratings if possible. Maintenance: Not much to say about the maintenance staff other than they have been helpful and responsive whenever we needed work done. Props to them for being able to do their job well unlike the office staff (more on this later). Grounds: The grounds in general have trash laying around, especially in the garage, pool area, and stairwell. They have recently began renovating so the complex looks great/clean from the outside until you actually walk around within it. There's plenty of dog droppings throughout the front grassy area despite there being two doggy bag stations(inconsiderate dog owners). Some people's dogs like to pee/poop within the complex so plenty of areas have pee stains on the walls/floors. The pool is nice when it is clean and actually being heated but about half the times I have gone to the pool it was not heated and dirty with trash/debris. The garbage room has a chute for trash but people often leave big items of trash/cardboard all over the floor and guess what, YOU will have to help pay for the cleanup of this even if you never/rarely contribute to it. People that move out often dump furniture/junk near the west gate and you are also required to help pay for its removal. The office staff could simply put a camera pointed at the gate to catch people doing so but Im doubtful they are able to handle a simple/straightforward task like this. Safety: I've never felt unsafe living here but due to reoccurring issues with the garage gate your vehicle or packages could be at risk. Anybody can get within the parking garage quite easily by either waiting for the gate to open from a resident, following behind a resident through the gate, or just driving in when the gate is left open due to it malfunctioning (this happens often). There is supposedly 'security' but in reality I have yet to see or hear of them actually doing anything useful, similar to the office staff. You are required to pay for parking but I don't think I have ever seen the 'security' checking car's permits so anyone would be able to park in the garage without fear of being towed (YMMV). Occasionally, there are homeless people near the west entrance but I have never experienced issues with them myself. Neighborhood: Located right in front of the freeway so if your apartment is facing it be ready for plenty of noise from it. There is not much close by to walk to but it is located in a convenient area to allow decent access to the freeway depending on the route you're taking. There's a bus stop located near the west garage entrance so you wont have to walk that far. Some entitled residents will throw parties at the pool with a large group of people so they will take up all the tables and grills while leaving trash everywhere. Noise: There is obvious noise from the freeway that you will have to deal with daily if your apartment is facing it but it usually isn't too bad. If you are unfortunate enough to get an apartment near the west garage then be ready for loud garbage pickup often (multiple days of the week). We were not told any kind of warning or information about this prior to moving in but quickly found out within our first week. The garbage is sometimes started as early as 6am and includes loud banging of the garbage bins, trucks beeping loudly when backing up, and general loud noise when they are working. We have also had to deal with loud/inconsiderate neighbors but despite reaching out to the office staff multiple times about this they have been completely useless and offered no help or solutions. If you like to be loud and blast music late into the night then this is definitely the place for you! Office staff: Saved the worst for last. Like many of the reviews, the office staff are usually friendly. However, with the piling number of issues that are failed to be addressed I think everyone here would prefer usefulness over friendliness. The staff seems to take priority over making the complex look nicer instead of dealing with any of the reoccurring problems the residents have to face. You would think for the steep price you pay monthly that you'd be getting your money's worth but its very clear where your money is (and isnt) being put into. Message to the office staff: DO BETTER. I understand this is your job and you are people too but the residents actually live here. You have the ability to make things better for everyone but fail to do so despite the obvious signs and concerns from residents. Your inaction and ineptitude make living here difficult. If you'd like to run things like a crappy/cheap/unkept apartment complex then at least have the decency to charge accordingly. Last notes for anyone looking to move here: If you can't find somewhere else cheaper/better to live then I wouldn't blame you for moving here but please be aware of the long list of issues you will have to deal with. Try your best to avoid living near the west gate due to the garbage pickup noise and congestion that happens from random vehicles blocking the driveway. Try to live on a top floor unit to minimize the chances of having a loud neighbor.
