For amount paid, could have been better!!!!

I stayed in this complex for one year, and this is just my brief observations from that year. The parking in this complex was horrible, while there was assigned spots, this would raise your rent. These assigned spots were sometimes nowhere near your building. If you weren t lucky enough to have a reserved spot, you would never find a spot near your building. At one point a fellow resident was allowed to take up a public spot by parking his truck camper there. In my opinion the walls must have been extremely thin, because I would always be able to hear my neighbor s sound system. This is also the same with the odors, because I could smell cigarette smoke in my apartment, when I don t even smoke. The grounds in the summer time were nice, but the winter time, was extremely dangerous. When the management decides to not spread sand on the dangerous driving areas, because it takes too much to clean up, that is just the wrong answer. The safety in this complex is obviously not the top concern for the management about their residents; it is more to saving money. The constructions of the buildings were also poor, I went to hang my towel up one morning after I got a shower and my towel rod fell right out of the wall. The maintenance was acceptable in their response time, but they had to be called to fix the same problem more than once. The staff was very polite, and willing to work with you with problems, but also was slow in doing so. The staff should not tell a resident that the problem is being taken care of, when nothing is being done. The last thing I think should be mentioned is the double standards. It is funny how in the pet policy it states certain dogs are not allowed to be in the complex, but then you see these dogs being walked by their owners right by my door. When brought to management, they wanted you to spy and indentify the person. I am sorry but that is not my job. The rule of cleaning up after your pet is obviously not enforced, due to the fact that the yard next to my apartment looked like a mine field and it made me sick to my stomach to see kids playing in this yard.
