Living in the Slums

The hallways are filthy. The occupants are druggies. Domestic disputes are very common. In the last month alone, there was a murder and a unregistered sex offender taken to jail and several breakins and thefts. The grounds are strewed with trash. The lawn is unmanicured. The police are here several times a day. There have been many days where there has been no water. Maintenance does not show up. The people who work in the office pretend you are not there. The manager, Jennifer hides in her office. If you have a problem the leasing agents say you have to talk to the manager. The manager does not return phone calls and cannot be found. After the spring snowstorm of 2004, my ceiling split open and water dripped onto the carpet.It took 6 weeks to fix and that was only after I called the city inspector and he did the neccesary threatening for it to get fixed and then it was fixed on the very last day. One morning I looked out my window and saw a kid rifling through my glove compartment in my car. I yelled at him and he slowly sauntered away and grabbed a bag of loot he had already collected and moved on. Strays cats roam the property having litter after litter. I am extremely embarrassed to live here and meet with people at other locations.
