I have been living in this building since 2021. I love the location! It is vibrant and quiet at the same time. It is close to supermarkets, pharmacies, parks, and public transportation. The management and maintenance staff are amazing.

Staff has been extremely helpful during the move in process. A little slow to respond at first but once I was in, everything was smooth. Maintenance is very responsive. Overall a great exiperence and I like the place.

This was the first apartment hunting experience I had in my live, and I chose The Palisades as my home for the next couple of years for various reasons. First, the location. Top tier. It personally saves me a lot of time on my commute, and as a young professional, I value that more than having other amenities that other communities may have. For the price and the specials, it's worth it. The unit I applied to has an excellent view of the city and checks most of the boxes I wanted. I want to thank Austin, the associate, for an excellent and calm virtual tour, where he answered all of my questions and left me decided on my choosing of this community. I can't wait to join and make this my new home very soon!

I lived in the Palisades for a little over 5 years. The draw to it, by far, is the location. Right in the heart of Logan Circle and just blocks from downtown, you are within walking distance to virtually everything you need in DC. To the young professional working in DC it is a no brainer. Tons of dining, shopping, and entertainment options surround you. The apartments are certainly small (all studios), but have spacious walk-through closets that give plenty of storage space. Hot water is centralized in the building so it never runs out. The complex is small and residents mostly keep to themselves, and there is average noise from other residents in the complex. There is no gym on site, but there is a rooftop common area and grill that is a nice touch and a place to gather on nice days. Reserved parking (for additional monthly) is limited but is nice for such a small complex. They have a secure package delivery system that helps to cut down on package thefts, and a mini office that is staffed daily by the nicest and most friendly lady you will ever meet! The building is dated, and the one slight annoyance from that is that there are plumping repairs taking place almost monthly that require water to be shut off for the entire building usually for a few hours during the week. I can honestly say though that any issue that came up during my time there were handled swiftly and appropriately from management and maintenance. Flor is the best, as well as the entire maintenance staff who work diligently to fix any problems that come up. Was happy to call the Palisades home and would certainly recommend it to others!

I absolutely regret my decision to move here. The employees who work in the building are very sweet, however the management company and building are awful. I have endured “The Palisades,” for nearly two years now and there is freequent construction noise in the morning, ridiculous fees, bad appliances, and absolutely horrendous infrastructure, and ridiculous rent increases. The building constantly shuts off the water to make “repairs.” Just this week, they are turning off the water for five hours. Overall, the rent is laughably unjusrified and it’s a terrible value. Stay away!

I visited and loved the place, too bad they never returned my emails, even AFTER I paid to put in an application. I got on their future renter club, and they ignored all my emails after, never told me if I got apartments I applied for, etc. The place looks very nice and it's a good price, but I'm not sure I'd live there if that's how even the application process works.

The Palisades is in a great location and a pretty decent price for the neighborhood. Haven't had a single issue yet and the staff has always been responsive to my questions. Just know that it's a comfortable apartment with no frills/luxuries.

The location of the apartment is unbeatable, convenient to everything! However, my favorite part about the community thus far is the office staff. They are so friendly, helpful, and prompt. Just great people, especially Ryan! He is so helpful, responsive, polite, and provides great service!

Located in a convenient and desirable area, safe, well lit. Office staff is friendly, though office hours are limited, you can reach maintenance via an emergency line and they are pretty responsive. Building residents are friendly, noise pollution is low inside apartments but louder in halls.

The Palisades has been a great place to live. The management staff has been very responsive whenever there has been an issue. The neighborhood is in a fantastic location full of restaurants, bars, and shopping. I would highly recommend this building to someone who's considering living in down town Washington DC.

I moved in two weeks ago and am enjoying the place a lot. Don?t have any complaints right now, the staff is really nice and responsive. I love the location, lots of restaurants near by and I love that am close to work. Am really happy I chose this place.

The best part of this apartment building is the safety and location. However, if you care about a courteous office staff and good customer service, I urge you to live elsewhere. Property manager and office staff has changed in the last couple of weeks, and this aspect of living at the Palisades is very subpar. The staff is incompetent, not helpful and certainly lacks awareness or care of the value of good service. I have lived in many other apartment buildings where rent was less and the office staff was significantly more courteous. I wish I had known this before I moved in, so if I can save one person from moving here and being disappointed that's my intention.

So far Palisades has been a great building. They respond promptly to maintenance request, and general upkeep of the building is great. The newly-finished rooftop is fantastic, and you have gym access at their nearby sister building. It's great.

The new management team is very responsive and polite. It's an old building with several problems, and I appreciate their quick attention. A recent air quality issue required a higher level of attention, and I am grateful to have received it with diligent follow through.

I've been living in the Palisades Apartment building since 1998. The apartments are all studio apartments so if you like a nice compact space then this is the place for you. It is close to Whole Foods, CVS, banks, & plenty of bars/restaurants.

Before Bernstein, shoddy...
Before Bernstein, shoddy work. But nice people here. With Bernstein, less shoddy work but the noise level of the make-over is hard to get used to even after months. People with higher income have moved in. Recently graduated college kids were noisy as heck but amenable to toning the noise down.

Good so far, traffic is a bit noisy but I live on the street side and it's the trade off for convenience.

I've had a great experience...
I've had a great experience at the Palisades. The price is reasonable (around $1,500 for a studio), the location is great, the studio is fairly big, the staff is extremely nice. Any maintenance problems I've had have been addressed promptly. I would stay longer but am moving in with my significant other to a bigger apartment. Would highly recommend Palisades.

Used to be a Gem, then we got Nancy
What a waste of space. This whole place has gone to hell. This was a great apartment when Jeff Johnson was running it. now, theyre a nightmare. Management is slow to respond, not at all friendly, unhelpful, ... just a waste. too bad, it used to be a great apartment. A few years a go a girl was raped in the basement. People are regularly letting themselves in and out, everyone and their mother has the front door code. This is a total --------.

Don't move here! Its a nightmare
The previous manager Jeff was great but after he left, the place seems in chaos. When I moved into the apartment,I expected it to be clean. What I found was lots of dust, rusted tubs drains with growth coming from underneath, rust and growth of some green stuff under bathroom sink and stained kitchen sink. If I knew that was going to be the sight of the apartment I would have not moved in. Five days prior to moving in the manager told me that the partment was being cleaned so I will not be able to see it then and that everything will be okay on the day I moved in. So I feel cheated that I was not allowed to see the mess before I signed the lease. Getting hold of the management is also a problem and voice mails don't get answered quickly enough. I had stayed here for a year previously when Jeff was the manager and found the place meticlouly clean, not fancy but very very well kept. I even see roaches in the apartment nowadays. What a shame, such a nice residential area has detoriated so much.

great value
When I began looking for apartments in DC a few weeks before relocating I couldn't believe how much more they cost than back home. When I found the Palisades I was more than pleased! They were about 200-300 less than other studios I looked at in the same area and a little bigger. In the 3 years I lived in the building I never had any maintenance problems, just a few light bulbs that went out and were replaced as soon as I told the management. If my job didn't relocate me to another city I would still call Palisades home. Great value and friendly place to live.

Not worth it
Let me be clear about this, the onsite maintenance guy is absolutely awesome. He will respond in a timely manner because he actually cares that the tenants get their money's worth. He will become your friend very quickly. Just great person. Unfortunately he is incredibly overworked because management is very cheap and they take advantage of him. That being said, the owner is a greedy --------- who regularly ups the price from whatever management listed when talking to potential tenants. He also rarely coordinates with the management company, which usually creates a confusing mess. He refuses to renovate the units, choosing instead to "beautify" the premises in order to attract suckers like me. The kitchens are in terrible condition with no real counter space, no appliances, old and shoddy cabinets and very few electrical outlets. The units are pretty big and utilities are included except for air conditioning for three months out of the year ($65 monthly for each unit!). We had asked for a new stove upon signing the lease and when we finally moved in did not have a stove and had to hound the manager to get us one. It took about three weeks to finally get our stove. The area is quiet and safe but incredibly inconvenient as shopping and metro access go. There is a bus stop right outside, but be sure to bring a good book when you go to wait for the bus. No pest problems except lots of stink bugs in the Summer. They don't bother me. They're actually very zen. Also, I should mention there is limited, paid parking. The building is right next to Georgetown Day School so you will hear kids playing and screaming depending on where your apartment is located. I would say, in general, stay away from this place.
