I have lived at North Beach on Kernan since December of 2012, when moving here my boyfriend and I were very excited about everything this complex had to offer, I've been to the pool, gym and cyber cafe. All of those things have been a great addition to living here, and as for the staff Eva has been amazing the whole time, her and Shannon always help in any say they can. Same goes for the maintenance staff, very helpful and courteous in every way.
The grounds are kept clean fairly often, I have seen the grass get a little high but as soon as I notice it the lawn crew is there to take care of it. The only complaint I har about the lawn care is that if you have animals and intend to live here they will in fact GET FLEAS! If i would have read a review about fleas prior to moving I would have never considered this complex to live... Both of my dogs got fleas and since they have to go outside it's been very difficult to get rid of them... And I'm sure with all of the cleaning I've done and spraying of different things I will et charged with some ridiculous fee.
Although the floor plan and size of these apartments are spacious and beautiful, I agree with every noise complaint in all other bad reviews, and in the building we live in people have been extremely rude about any noise that we have made. We've had notes posted on our door telling us to turn off our television and that we're an annoyance when the television volume level was on 13.. And this was in the middle of the day around 3 pm. Don't get me wrong, I understand that when choosing to live in an apartment you always accept the idea of hearing your neighbors to a certain extent but you can hear people talking through the walls, people showering and any household appliance. You can try to be as quiet as can be but up can hear the floor make noise when you walk through your "home." We originally loved the idea of living here being 6 miles from the beach and in the middle of everything but it has been a rough 9 months... We tried to talk about breaking our lease but since the rent is so high it was an outrageous amount to pay to break it... If you live on the third floor noise level would probably be a little bit more tolerable but we live on the 2nd floor and we hear above below and around us.. Just trying to make it to December so we can move elsewhere.
Don't be fooled by the pretty buildings and appliances, do your research first... If we did... We would've saved A LOT of money.
