Our family enjoyed living at North Beach on Kernan for several years and moved due to a home purchase.
Parking: Ample parking. However, the layout of the parking lot in conjunction with the garage layout allows for many blind spots. Residents drive quickly through the parking lot and children on bikes come flying around corners. Not ideal for safety.
Noise: We lived on the third floor and we had zero noise concerns. Unlike other reviews listed, our experience was quite different and we felt it was a quiet community.
Grounds: The grounds are beautiful and well kept. Nicely landscaped. Amenities are also very nice. One of the nicest communities we've lived in. There are a few issues with residents not cleaning up after their dogs; however there are ample stations throughout the community with trash bags and cans for owners to clean up after their pets.
Safety: Community is located in safe part of town and the community felt very safe. Security gate is at the entrance of community.
Maintenance: Amazing maintenance staff and would fix issues quickly. Offers ability to submit and track maintenance requests online as well.
Staff: Always seemed helpful when we needed anything. Also coordinate resident appreciation events.
Cost: The cost of living in this community is pricier than other apartment communities. While move in specials are competitive, prepare for the rates to increase each year and non-negotiable. We did not find that living in this community to be cost effective. The "market rate" is high compared to renting privately or owning. If you regularly use the amenities it is probably worth it.
