Great apartment, no problems

I moved down in September of 2005 and have been very pleased with Paddock Park Apts. I really don't agree with all the complaints from the other reviewers. First off, the apartments interiors are nice. My 1-bedroom apt. is spacious, with plenty of windows and the architecture of the interiors, with angled walls and a large enclosed patio are a welcome change from just your basic 4 walled box. There are quite a few kids running around, but they're generally not a problem at all. I was lucky to get an apt. in a very quiet building, but in general, the walls are very well insulated so you're not hearing your neighbors' tv or stereo. The grounds are beautiful and well landscaped, with plenty of trees and plantings so you feel like you're living in a park rather than a concrete jungle. You're SUPPOSED to pick up after your dog, although I've never seen anyone other than myself actually do it! But even though this rule isn't enforced that well, the grounds/maintenance crew do a pretty good job keeping the grass areas clean. I've never had a problem with management or maintenance. The couple issues I had when I moved in (with AC and a leaky pipe) were taken care of the day-of the request. I've been out to walk the dog late at night and never felt unsafe. The only real complaint is that, yes, it is supposed to be a gated community, and no, the gates do not work. Overall, I don't think I could have found a better place to live in Ocala and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
