Management Sucks

A bit pricey. All apartments have screened porches. Don t even bother trying to get anything fixed. Let me elaborate a bit. At first things weren't bad. If we had a problem, one of the maintenance people would come out that day (or night) most of the time or first thing in the morning and the problem would normally be fixed within a day. Towards the end of our stay, it would take days sometimes to get someone out. Also, the office staff were incapable of answering a question correctly. We had two cats and when I called to check on getting the second cat, they told me that there was a new policy that you only had to pay the pet fee for the first pet and additional pets were free. After adopting our second cat, I went into the office to process the paperwork, they asked for a check for $150. Also, we referred a friend (this was still the honeymoon period for us with Paddock Park) and the agent who processed them in, gave the referral bonus to a friend of hers instead of us. She left shortly after our friends moved in, so maybe she decided to get what she could before she left. I'll never know. Also, our friends apartment was dirty when they moved in. I was embarrassed. They had a program, where if you stayed 3 years, you'd get $1,000 towards the down payment of your home, if you were leaving to buy a house. It took calling both the office and the management company daily for months, after we had moved out, to get this processed. Plus it takes 60 days to process in optimum conditions and we were closing in 30 days. Not all of this was our problem, part of it was our title company wouldn't give me the paperwork needed to get the money. If it weren't $1,000, I might not have even bothered.
