What started as a nightmare, ended like a dream! My family and I have lived in the building prior to Camden taking over the ownership and management of the building. We are the first tenants of our top floor apartment and love the view and space. The previous owners did a good job with over all Maintance of the building, but could not resolve a major issue we had with our apartment. Every time we had a heavy rain or wind & rain; our apartment would leak water. First, they thought it was the windows, then they thought it could be the roof. But after almost 2 1/2 years of living here, it could not be resolved how the water was getting into the apartment. On December 15, 2018, we had a heavy rain the caused more water damage to our apartment and made it so we couldn't stay in the apartment. For most people unlike us, I would have been furious and feed up. We spoke with Anna Forlini (Community Manager) and she assured us that her and the team would not rest until they resolved the water issue once and for all. Anna made arrangements and accommodations for a temporary relocation and explains to me a clear and concise action plan to resolve the problem. They had many contractors and engineers come by to figure out what the cause of the water intrusion. After a lot of approaches from the interior of the building, the came to the resolution that the best thing was to get a team of contractors on the outside wall of the building, 18 stories high. They spent many days hanging off the side of the building with equipment and water hoses and were able to pin point the cause of the water. Once it was repaired and tested, they quickly had a team out to repair the interior and replace the carpet. Now we have a peace of mind and when there is a heavy rain and wind. We are very happy with the whole Camden Pier District team resolving the water problem and always over communicating every step of the process.
