Rent went sky-high after only one year!

After being there just 1 year, I was told they were raising the rent over $250 per month! I've always paid my rent on time, never had any problems and was always a top renter. When I asked the staff "why would they do this", their reply was, "they just want more of your money"! So, I moved out. So sad because I really loved it there. But, in these difficult economic times, who can afford a rent hike of over $250 per month??? That's crazy. Staff was excellent, professional and so friendly. Residents are nice people too. It was very upsetting. If they "get you in" at a great price, expect it to go way up within a year. Bad bad bad. Nice apartments, but not worth the crazy high price. I could buy something and have a much, much, much cheaper mortgage payment. Simply taking advantage of people during hard economic times. Not smart. Not living up to their moniker: "taking care of the way people live".
