The Retreat is like a home. I love living here. It’s beautiful a great location and wonderful walking area. The office staff and maintenance team are the best. The Retreat is the only apartment complex I would ever want to live at.

The apartments themselves are good. The community has excellent access to local shopping, dining, and the high school. Maintenance staff has always responded promptly and professionally. The community lacks some significant amenities, such as a recycling program, and some other amenities have been scaled back or simply eliminated in the time that I have lived here. At the same time, rent has been increased roughly 20% each year. The community is good overall, but is not a good value for the cost.

As mentioned, maintenance has been unresponsive and the office staff has been unhelpful in an emergency situation. We have AC issues, water in the ceiling, a hole in the wall, damage to base boards and other areas of the apartment due to the inability of maintenance shutting off the water in an appropriate amount of time

The Retreat has been our home for 6 years and we would like to stay here as long as we can. This community has awesome location near all possible families daily needs and great neighborhood. The well designed community has very good apartment distribution and plenty of parking, pool, etc etc. Office staff are friendly and always willing to comply with our needs. The maintenance team is very efficient. We enjoy living here!

Used to be great 8 years ago but just gets worse every year. When we first moved in there was a farmers market, struck nights, occasional movie nights on the yards. We were also paying $1200 during this time. Now we pay close to $2100! The water fountain near the dog park for the dogs has been broken for years. There’s no more farmers markets or food truck nights. Very little community events now and safety just gets worse and worse. I’ve messaged the management MULTIPLE times regarding the increase in car break ins and what is being done about it just for my post to be denied with no explanation. Seems very intentional to make everyone believe everything here is much better than it actually is.

Everyone that works here is super nice but the maintenance has to come at least three times to resolve an issue. It may be that there’s only a couple of them and many buildings for them to take care of so they’re so busy that they are literally running out of my apt to try to get to the next Assignment they have. They also approached my husband one day when he was throwing garbage away at the dumpster and told him that he didn’t live here he isn’t allowed to throw trash there. They never once asked him his address or his name or anything proving he lived here. This is all done in a very threatening manner My husband provided his address. They still said he was lying. Then when he showed him his drivers license, they apologized.

It’s been a wonderful experience this 2 weeks since we moved in. The surrounding areas look nice. It’s close to great schools and shopping centers. Across the street there are parks to exercise. The community is quiet and respectful.

The Retreat At Windermere is a great place to live. We enjoy all the that the apartments have to offer. The neighborhood has a park like feel with a great walking trail. The pool is great and the staff are very friendly. We have no complaints and have enjoyed living here for several years.

Wonderful and safe community with easy access to all Orlando has to offer. We especially love walking the outdoor trails and spending time at the community pool. This community also has the fastest responding maintenance team I’ve ever experienced, though luckily we do not need to contact them too often.

Don't do it you'll never get your security deposit back.

Been waiting over 2 months to get security deposit back. Maria and the leasing office says check has been issued then reissued but have never received any check. She said to call back in a few days, called back and she's on vacation. Nobody else can handle getting us our security deposit back. It's nice how they want their deposit all up front before you move in but when it comes to them giving you your money back after you've busted your butt to clean your apartment and make sure that it is ready to move in for somebody else they keep your money so they can get interest off of it. Think twice before moving here, then find somewhere else to move to.

1 star. It was 5 stars. I used to pay 1200/month for a 2b-2b It wasn't the nicest one on the block especially since it's one of the oldest communities here. But for the price it was justifiable. Now I pay $2k over the last 3 years they've price gouged everyone and their reasoning being "oh we have a Windermere address" That means nothing. We live on cr 535 Most people shop and commute to and from winter garden. No one that lives here actually participates in the Windermere community. I know bc I grew up in Windermere. This is the outskirts of Windermere and again its a joke and anyone that thinks this place is good bc the zip code is 34786 is absolutely wrong.

My experience at the Retreat at Windermere has been okay. I've lived here almost 2 years. I would like to have upgraded appliances though. My cabinets are worn & scratched up. My flooring has a dog urine smell in the master bedroom & the den area from previous tenants. I have issues with all the mosquitoes around my door. There are tiny ant bugs all around my window sill. Some type of tiny spiders inside the apt that nest in the crevices of the ceiling. I spray but they continue to come back day after day. The apts are pricey. The neighborhood is nice.

Great neighborhood, very calm and quiet overall (except if you get an apartment above the shops), close to schools, parks and restaurants, grocery stores, CR 535, etc… The apartment has been well kept and the maintenance team is very efficient.
