Like to sleep? Stay away!

While it's centrally located in a great, safe neighborhood, Post Gardens is an apartment complex I would only recommend to my worst enemy. Fire alarms go off at all hours of the day and night, completely without warning and generally for hours at a time. I have been awakened by these alarms at least a dozen times. The tenants are generally very young and, if you live in an apartment that faces the courtyard, very loud. There's a group of guys who play sports with the trashcans outside until 1 or 2 am, even on weekdays. Rent is astronomical -- I can rent a 4 bedroom house for the price I'm currently paying for a 2 bedroom apartment. Maintenance and upgrades are a joke -- they replaced our kitchen flooring with tile, but they didn't reinforce the area where the carpet meets the tile, so three days later the carpet was a shredded mess. Parking can be a pain, as many big trucks and SUVs dominate the garage, frequently double parking. Also, they change policies often without notice; they changed the way tenants are supposed to pick up their packages, but they didn't inform anyone. The office staff, while mostly nice, is somewhat vapid and less than knowledgeable about issues; this is probably because they seem to rotate in and out of the office with an alarming pace. The main issue with this property is certainly the fire alarms. Most of the other issues could be overlooked if tenants could just get some sleep -- unfortunately, we pay high prices to be kept up all night by useless fire alarms. Stay away from this place.
