Over the past year and a half, I have asked the leasing office to change the carpet of my apartment. About 3 months after I moved in, i had to rent a carpet cleaner because old stains had already started showing from the little traffic from me (I live alone with two dogs). When I renewed last year, I was given a "free" carpet cleaning in which I was highly disappointed. I had taken the time to move several pieces of furniture off of the carpet in order for the cleaners to be able to get the entire surface of the carpet. I was assured this was a commercial vac and would provide a great cleaning. The cleaners left huge spots in the carpet and emptied out their machines in the bathtub (pictures were emailed to the leasing office). Once I notified the leasing office of this, the cleaners were sent out again and the results were just about the same. I, once again, emailed the leasing office about some sort of resolution for my flooring in my apartment. Absolutely no reply from them. I have also had terrible experience with the plumbing in my apartment. I have bought more Draino in the last year and a half than I have ever before in my life. The bath tub and toilet are constantly clogging up. Maintenance has been out several times on this issue. The toilet also leaks water and has been reported to maintenance. One guy told me I would get a new toilet and the other told me I wasn't "flushing" correctly. Also, the garbage area on the property is absolutely disgusting. There is a separate garbage container sitting near the original disposal that is, most of the time, overfilling with garbage. It's embarrassing to have guests come through that area to see such an eyesore. Lastly, the mail/package delivery room is always an utter mess. Packages are stacked in front of the door, on the floor, and in no particular order according to buildings. Food/meal prep packages are left in there for days at the time, eventually end up going bad, and the room is left with a terrible smell. Two of my packages have "lost" in the mailroom. We were able to find one but the other is still missing. Even the leasing office employee told me she could hardly stand to stomach the smell inside that room. My lease is be renewed in August. I'm going to renew, only because I am in grad school and will be in the middle of my practicum. A move would be too much too try and get done during this time. That being said, this will be the last year I renew at Post Gardens. It is entirely too expensive and is not kept up as it should be.
