Resident 2001 - 2007

9/5/2007

Going downhill rapidly

I have lived at Stonebridge since June 2001, and what has prompted the writing of this review is that I currently have no running water, and this is the second time within a month that our water has been turned off with no notice as to why or when repairs will be made. In fact, there is a taped off section in the parking lot where repairs were begun, but not completed. My emergency repair call has gone unreturned and there have been no signs that anyone will be attempting to fix the problem this evening. I have contacted the water department in Atlanta which oddly services Sandy Springs to verify if there are any reported interruptions in service or active repairs. There are none. We have people who constantly loiter about the property, staring at you as you pass in your car as if they are planning to carjack you. The neighbors are rude, self-absorbed people who walk in front of your car at intentionally slow pace, blast their music, carry on loud vulgar conservations in the parking lot well into the early morning hours, stomp about constantly throughout the day, smoke weed, and generally have no respect for the fact that they live in close proximity to people. The grounds are relatively clean which is quite the challenge because people can't be bothered to throw their fast food packagings into their home trashcans or in the dumpster. I requested that a window be fixed because there is a noticeable draft during the winter, a part was to be ordered and it has been on backorder apparently for several years as my window is still broken. I use a sheet of plastic to block the air. How very posh. This will be my last lease. Every year, it gets worse and the Bascom Group, the new owners, and its leasing flunky, the Worthing Group, seem completely disinterested with improving the property. Rather they seem to be sitting on the property in hopes that the Sembler development across the road will increase property value allowing them to increase rent drastically, convert to condos, or sell the property for profit. If anyone currently living at Stonebridge reads this, I suggest contacting the City of Sandy Springs' Code Enforcement Department (770-730-5600) to report the current owners and staff at Stonebridge for their negligence.
