My first interaction with the new management company was them accusing me of not paying my rent when I had paid it online and they hadn't properly rerouted payments from the online platform or cancelled the service - I'm not entirely sure what the issue was, but I do know the call I received was intended to be an aggressive, "We want our rent" call. Since then I've been hesitant to make any online payments because it's just not worth the drama of it all. Had this been with a company that excelled in customer service - that may have been ok. Needless to say - it has NOT been ok. They used to be open til 6pm on Thursday evenings, which is endearing, but I leave work early to bring a rent check and they're "on a conference call". Alright, then why say you're open til 6pm? Couple days letter I received a newsletter saying they were changing their Thursday hours. Next time I wanted to make a payment, I showed up on a Saturday and what do you know - not single person working. I had to slip it under the door along with around 30 others. I leave a message saying please call me when you've received this check because lets be honest, I've been accused of not paying before - safe than sorry. Anyone think I received a call? Ding, ding, ding - no. I show up today to drop off a check and inquire about resigning my lease so that I can decide if I want to stay and evidently they dropped something off at my apartment in September... seriously? What I love about the staff is that the response to my shock is always them being defensive. This is the THIRD time they've told me that they have slipped something under my door - that I haven't received. You would think that would be a cause for concern for them, but no, they just keep slipping them in. Or at least that's what they're telling me, which is priceless because our relationship has been so unhealthy, I have no way of knowing if they really delivered this or not. Alright, so I look at the date and I have until TOMORROW to decide if I'd like to stay in my apartment. In an effort to avoid writing this review I told them I'd like to speak to the manager because I have a lot to cover with them. I was told she was out for the week at another property. I literally had to laugh at that one. Note to self, some of the properties this company owns doesn't have phones on-site, or perhaps no cell phone service. Either way, I won't be hearing from anyone until next week but I have to decide if I'm going to stay in this apartment TODAY. All in all, I love my apartment, but I work in customer service and this staff consistently has me in a position to be the worst version of myself.
