I have lived at Greystone Summit Forsyth for three years now. A little less then a year into my living there the shower was getting a mold buildup in the areas where there is caulking by the shower door. The materials used to build the shower are very poor in quality and it seems that the mold is caused by air getting into the shower because of a poor installation of said shower and shower door. On 06/25/2018 I sent in a maintenance request to clean the mold and re-caulk around the door. Their attempt to fix the solution was just to caulk over the old and not clean the mold. The mold and dirt buildup returned and on 10/11/18 I submitted another request. Again they simply caulked over the old. I was not in my apartment during the start of the pandemic and I returned to check on my apartment in June to find mold buildup in the caulked areas that I had trouble with before. I sent in a request for them to remove the mold and re-caulk. They refused to remove the mold and sent a passive aggressive email to me to "clean my shower." My request stated that I had been out of the apartment since the start of the pandemic and it did not say for them to clean my shower for me but to "please remove the black mold around the shower. Please caulk the shower to help prevent this from happening." Just as my previous 2 requests had stated. This is a prime example of the maintenance not wanting to do their job. It also reflects on Raquel Orrego for not wanting to do her job and instead of checking into the situation for her resident she takes the word of her maintenance crew. Then Raquel has another staff member (not even herself) send a passive aggressive email to me refusing my request. I signed a paper when I first started leasing at the complex that I would report all mold and they would remove said mold. They refused to clean the mold putting my health at jeopardy. I can clean my shower but removing the mold from the caulked areas is their job especially since the mold could be hazardous.When asked who wrote me the email the staff member Diana couldn't remember anything about an email or who wrote it only to find out that it was Diana herself who wrote it. By Diana lying to me it directly goes to show not only the poor moral compass of the staff but also the poor morals and costumer services of Raquel Orrego.
