Verified Resident ā¢ 2022 - 2023
When I reserved the unit I was told it would be ready the day I absolutely had to move. They then pushed the move in date three days for "renovations", forcing us to have to rent a storage unit until they were done. When we did the initial walk through we noted multiple things to the office staff who was walking with us. He reassured us that the holes walls around the outlets would be patched and the rusted freezer shelf would be replaced. It's been 9 months and none of that has been done. It was also noted that even though we are NOT allowed to have any sort of grill or fire pits allowed in our porches (people don't care and do it anyways. The person in front of us frequently grills on their porch and the guy across from us has a huge fire pit) that our has a large burn in the wood. When they said renovations we assumed that included new carpet. Ours is absolutely disgusting. It has matting where the pervious tenet frequently walked, the seems are tattered in the door ways, and the carpet is wrinkling in the entryway from being so old. The renovations were: sloppy patch work, painting the walls, changing the light switch covers, and putting in fake granite countertops.
We have had so many issues with neighbors. Between the person below us banging on the floor, blowing air horns, letting her dog pee at my front door, and the constant trash she leaves in the breezeways/ outside her porch - the people who around us who constantly smoke weed making my unit smell if we left the door open - the neighbors in front of us having people banging on the doors coming in and out at all hours, the fact we can hear their conversations while sitting in our own living room - the amount of people who speed through here with no regard for people, kids, or pets - the amount of car break ins/ car thefts (my husband had his wallet stolen out of his vehicle) - and the sheer disregard the office staff has for any complaint sent in. I was told after I called the courtesy officer about the boxes/furniture/and trash that was left blocking the stairs for 6 hours (it was the same stuff the whole time and it was not someone moving in or out) was not a good use of the courtesy officers time. Yet that is 100% a fire hazard to block the exits.
The parking is a disaster. I've witnessed multiple cars get hit in the parking lots and the person just drives away. Even after the office sends out a notice that people cannot park on curbs, they do not follow through and fine those that disregard it. We have two cars who constantly block the lip to the sidewalk (so those who need the flat set face don't have to step up) because they park on the curb rather than in a parking spot. Dog poop is everywhere, they have no limitations on pets here so there are tons of very aggressive dogs, tons of people refuse to leash their pet. Basically the neighbors have no respect for anyone around them which is vital when living in situations where you literally share a wall with your neighbors.
So far the only really good thing I have to say about the complex is that the maintenance staff are amazing. They are very respectful of your space and make a point to make sure you're taken care of. I know if any of them have to come in while I'm gone that I do not have to worry about my personal belongings.
