This community started off as a nice place to live due to it's location, however, they have a list of issues. They never close the exit gate, and they advertise it's a gated community. The roaches are an insane problem. The grounds are covered in dog droppings, and the office staff is not very pleasent to deal with.

The management here is poor. From our experience, they pressure washed the side of the complex and punctured a hole in the foundation which soaked one of the inside closets. Inside that closet was all of my military awards from over the years and my high school year books. I didn't notice the damage until after a week later. Once found the closet was filled with thousands of termites. We filed a claim with the property manager, and after months they would only pay half. They stated the damage was half of our fault. On top of that when I got orders to relocate for the military, and upon moving out, they took our entire deposit, plus an additional $60 over a torn window blind and a dirty microwave. With the past arguments and experiences with them I paid it to keep from further conflict. They threatened to send the $60 to collections on the first notification that it was even due. I was never late on a single payment from this complex. They really need hire a new property manager, her attitude is very poor.

IF you want to stay where office staff does not care about you, dont keep their word, talk about you, staff, and other tenants. This is the place for you. HLA is a gated community that is more like a high priced housing project. The so called office staff does minimal work and displays very little professionalism. They ask tenants to do their job so they can sit in the office to talk about other tenants. They do not follow through on complaints and they have no regard to safety, health concerns, fairness, rules/regulations, or their tenants. The landscape is probably the ONLY thing that is kept up but they office staff doesn't come out of the office nor enforce the rule about pet owners picking up after their pet. The maintenance supervisor is overworked & disrespected because office personnel and his subordinate constantly speak out of them. There are numerous broken down cars in the complex. There was an email sent out that they would tow inoperable cars in 5 days. These cars have been here for over a year.

I love it. We have been here since November, but we also know people who have lived here for two years prior. The only things you will find negative for them are literally from people who DIDN'T live here. There are some reviews talking about how Carol (property manager) yelled at these kids to get off of the basketball court over and over don't live here. They were driving their car from across town and when she first asked them if they lived there, they told her, "No, but their friend from building F was on their way" don't have LETTERED buildings. Hahaha. So, all-in-all they were butt hurt because our property manager doesn't allow trespassers. We LOVE it here! The maintenance men are awesome as well. The only negative thing I would say is that some of the tenants don't always clean up after their dogs when they goto the bathroom outside. It might just be beside my building.

If you want to rent an apartment in this complex, then don't see ------. I had an apartment and all that I saw was a 2BR/2BA apartment. To see that, I had to ask to see it. She didn't offer to show it. I don't know what amenities the complex has to offer since they were not shown/discussed. The entire time, ------ was texting (which I found VERY unprofessional). Maybe the complex was nice, but I will never know since the agent was awful! I ended up finding a complex who really wanted to "sell" their complex.

The ------------ manager is one of the most UNPROFESSIONAL people I have ever met! DO NOT rent from these people!! They will do and say anything to get you to sign a lease, and when it comes time to act on their promises, their only answer to you is "that person no longer works here." They do not care about you, your family or any extenuating circumstances that may occur in your life. If you lose your job and need to break the lease, they will SUE YOU!! There is no belief in customer service or treating people with common courtesy in that office. They are just a bunch of typical, uneducated apartment managers who are on a power trip because managing that big apartment community is the only thing they'll ever have going for them.

I just moved here from conyers ga due to a contracting job. I love it out here, I'm in 1bdrm 1bath the bathroom is huge its my favorite part of the apartment. I applied through email with mrs. Kim she helped me out with everything as well as mrs Jessica they are a great team, very sweet and helpful. I met the manager once but i rarely see her. Its quiet so you have PTSD like i do you'll be fine out here. I haven't seen any kids running around the streets or teenagers hanging out around the apartment either. It's very quiet, nice, peaceful, I'm a full time student as well so i can also focus on my school work too. The price is perfect at first I thought there was a catch to it, but there isn't. Its a great price for the are. You are getting what you pay for. I would highly recommend this apartment, even if you have a new born its still a great place to live.

Do NOT... I repeat DO NOT stay in this apartment complex. The last review about the property manager is very true. She is rude and bitter. My boyfriend and I stayed here less than a year. Our privacy had been invaded by the maintenance men and it forced us to find a better place to stay. It is not a welcoming environment. They have terrible business ethics. If you do decide to stay here PLEASE READ EVERY FINE PRINT OF THAT LEASE! The layout of the apartment was all wrong. I stayed in a 2 bedroom/2 bath and the bathroom and kitchen were very small. I am to be out and staying somewhere better.

I love living here and believe it is the best apartment community in the Warner Robins area. I was born and raised in Warner Robins so have lived several places in the area and this one takes the cake. Kim Davis and Carol are the most amazing apartment managers. They are always so friendly and helpful. Maintenance always fixes problems correctly and quickly. The grounds are well maintained. I live by the front pond and the view from my balcony is perfect. Can't say enough good things about this apartment community!

The Houston Lake Apartments are very nice overall. The facilities are located in a nice quiet and rural area of Kathleen, GA. The grounds are well manicured and great for a stroll on a nice warm afternoon. The front office staff is very polite and willing to work with you on any issues you may have. They are also very accommodating to military personnel. The apartments are fairly new and very well maintained. The maintenance staff is always very expedient about completing any maintenance issues you may have.

Hi my family and I moved into Houston Lake Apartments in late August we were very excited to start our new adventure here. When we got here the apartment was very beautiful everything was perfect. Our leasing consultant Kimberly helped make the move easier and explained everything great. We have had no problems since moving in The staff is friendly and always makes you feel welcome and right at home. I am very happy living here and would recommend these apartments. The maintenance staff responds quickly if a problem comes up. Its very quiet and calm I feel very safe. I feel as if we are living in some resort with all the amenities that HLAC has to offer. Carol in the office is very sweet and understanding and helps you out anyway she can. We are satisfied living here and happy to call Houston Lake Apartments our home. I moved here 3 weeks ago and would recommend Houston Lake Apartments to anyone looking for an apartment! I was experiencing a very difficult move and leasing agent Kimberly Davis (and the entire staff)made everything so easy for me! The management now is fairly new, so ignore all those old reviews! The school zone is the best, the apartments are spacious and reasonable, and the amenities are great. I couldn't imagine living in another complex. I'm glad that I made the decision to move to Houston Lake Apartments!

From availability inquiry to signing of the lease to on going communication with the office staff and maintenance. HLAC is the best complex I've lived at and best in service/customer service. I'm already planning on living here long after my initial 13 month lease. Kimberly Davis was my leasing agent and by far the best I've ever worked with. I continue to stay in touch and I'm highly impressed.

The apartment was great, however the staff is horrible. Especially since Amanda thinks its ok to inappropriately and unprofessionally text and call married men who live there. As an apartment manager you would think she would have boundaries but she doesn't. She has a lot to work on to become a respectable manager, like not damaging and coming between families that live in the complex.
