I moved here at the beginning of the year (Jan 2014) so have only been here for two and a half months. So far I have zero complaints and am quite happy with my stay at Houston Lake Apartments. Its incredibly quiet and I feel completely safe, I've even accidentally left my car windows down a few times and nothing has gone amiss. The staff has been 100% helpful in everything I've asked of them. Kimberly is incredibly friendly and has helped acclimate me to the area, the other office workers seem very helpful too although I haven't had as much contact with them. I work a lot so I've been doing almost all my shopping online... which means a LOT of packages. I have received almost all of them the day they are delivered even when I am not home because the office accommodates deliveries until I do get home. I've even trusted them with escorting major furniture deliveries into my apartment (with my approval) and all have gone as planned. Its real quiet for the most part, there are a solid amount of children running around in the afternoons but none are trouble makers, they are just doing kid stuff and regardless, the apartments are fairly soundproof especially with the windows down. Apartments are clean and all defects were noted upon moving in and everything other than a few minor stains were taken care of immediately (ice maker, dishwasher, disposal). Its been cold so far but I am particularly looking forward to getting to the pool and meeting some neighbors. I am a young working professional in a new area so I am really hoping to meet some other young people to hang with and explore Georgia. So far my only complaint is that the immediate area kind of sucks in terms of convenience and fun factor... but then again I came from Chicago and knew what I was getting into.
