Rent isn't too bad, security is lax and bikes (including one of my own) are continuously stolen from the bike storage area. Maintenence does a great job at responding quickly to issues and are very friendly. The $100 charge to use the common room is a shameless cash grab.

I've enjoyed my experience at Residences at Riverview. The community is friendly and the space is kept relatively clean. The maintenance has been wonderful - quickly responding to my problems and communicating well.

It's great! Friendly people and love the pool! I enjoy being able to not hear a lot going on outside as I work from home. All appliances and lighting work and everything is great. I enjoy walking my dogs often and taking them to the small park near my building.

I moved in earlier of this year and have enjoyed it! This is my first apartment and so far it has been good! I enjoy being close to downtown and work! I also feel like the rent is reasonable compared to other places near by. So overall happy with my experience here!

It's a nice place to live and the maintenance team is phenomenal. Unfortunately the walls and ceilings are paper thin and management is completely unwilling to police loud behavior. It's an expensive place to live and I expected more from the management team with regards to unruly neighbors.

Located close to East Village and other downtown attractions, easy to walk places and right on the bike trail. The complex itself is pretty quiet, with a lot of working professionals. Maintenance is quick to respond, and leasing office staff is always helpful with anything that is needed.

This is the only apartment complex that I toured that welcomed me as a walk-in without having to make an appointment. That made a big impression on me. I have enjoyed living here. The apartments themselves are very quiet. Unfortunately, there is a lot of construction noise now that was not present when I moved in. This is nott the apartment complex's fault though as construction is happening all over the city. Like the fitness room though it could be better maintained and have some additional equipment. Some of the hallways are starting to look shabby but overall, the apartment complex has a bright, modern feel. I like that the bike trails in Des Moines are accessible right out our back door.

The community is great , the management helps is all the ways that they can and are very accommodating.i wish there was a covered parking , better gym and much better security . I would love to stay here longer term if some facilities are made better

The community is really nice and quiet. The neighbors are very kind and I've never had an issue with privacy. I moved to Residence at Riverview in December of 2017. I have had nothing but positive experiences living here It is a wonderful urban setting. You are within walking distance to several dining and entertainment options. A major plus for me, is the bike path. You can jump on the well maintain bike path and ride to Grays lake, Valley Junction and many other fabulous attraction in the metro area.

It's pretty decent given the price. I'm not looking to leave in a hurry. My first apartment had mold and the managers tried to play it off as "smoke damage from a candle". That resulted in parts of the ceiling being removed after I kept pushing for an inspection. A few days later I found even more mold near the furnace, which was solved with paint. Anyone that knows anything about mold knows how insufficient this attempt at remediation is. Eventually they moved me into a unit in another building where I was unable to find mold. So... it's fine. There are units that are rented out like AirBnBs, so be aware of that. It's cheap and is an awesome location though. Also the door locks have been broken since I moved in. I brought it up to maintenance and it has never been fixed, so the building is just totally open to the public. 7/10 in my book.

Overall, pretty good. Staff responds promptly to any issues and is easy to communicate with. Could improve overall security of buildings. Locks on some of the exterior doors don't work and leave building unlocked. Also a camera on the dog park would help for multiple reasons. One being overall safety of our community and two it would help enforce our community picking up after their pets. The amount of pet waste left around our complex is a bit absurd and it likely won't continue unless there is some form of penalty. A camera on the dog park would allow staff to easily monitor who is leaving pet waste and improve the quality of our dog's area to play.

Love it so far. Location is close to downtown but not too close. Apartments are spacious and very affordable. Not having to pay for parking is a major plus. Staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. Major downside is the rendering plant presents a major quality of life issue in the summer months given it's less than a mile from the building. While I understand the need to enforce the parking policy, CrowTow is a predatory company and they'll sit in the lot at night at all hours and wait for someone without a sticker. Hearing them tow late at night is incredibly annoying.

I really enjoy living here. My neighbors are respectful, the buildings are well kept , and the amenities are nice. The parking lot can get congested, but it's still plenty of space- just have to park further. I've had no issues with management since I've been here and haven't had anything break. It's been almost a year and I really don't have any complaints.

Since I have lived here the building changed ownership twice. The apartment is nice looks wise but the walls are so thin you can hear everything. There is always dog poop outside the building that residents don't pick up sadly. I had issues I had addressed with the leasing office and they made me feel I should handle the issue myself. No cameras in the parking lot and had issues with people breaking into cars.
