I've been living here for almost a year now. It's not bad. The management team is very courteous to me each month when I come in to pay our rent. The only issues I have really had up to this point is that our apartment is facing Liberty Dr. and so is our bedroom. I can't sleep past 6am because the traffic outside is interrupting my sleep. Also, we have new neighbors sharing a wall against ours. I can hear their dog yapping away every so often, I hear a baby crying when I'm trying to sleep every so often, and my roommate has mentioned he heard the couple fighting loudly on several occasions. So now we know that it's really not very soundproof...but it IS an apartment, so what can you expect? We are looking to downsize this year to save money. When I went in to pay last month's rent, the lady at the desk told me we wouldn't have any fees to stay with Amli if we just wanted to downsize into a 1br/1ba. That sounds really good to me. Saving money and not having to move to a different area really can't beat that. I just hope that the next apartment we move into isn't facing Liberty or Eola. Also, I like living on the 2nd floor, and I am not sure they offer a 1br/1ba on a 2nd floor. We shall see. Rates change daily, so hopefully they're in the range we want for the date we want to move.
As for other's complaints and reviews, I agree with a lot of the complaints I've read, some of those things really are issues that should be addressed w/management instead of management coming on here calling those tenants or former tenants names. That's not very professional at all. However, anyone seeking out an apartment should know that no matter what apartment you choose or what the reviews on sites like Apartment Ratings say, there will ALWAYS be SOMETHING you find unacceptable or 'shocking'. That is unfortunately the stigma of apartment living. Renters should go into a lease already knowing that this isn't 100% theirs to own, manipulate, and transform. It's temporary. We need to get past that and move on. All that being said, I think this is the second nicest apartment and location I have ever lived. We do pay our rent on time each month and are very happy here.
