While those in the office have always been helpful if/when I needed it, there are a lot of things that could use improving. I know new management is in the process of trying to implement new positive changes, but I think there needs to be a higher level of honesty and transparency when it comes to the so-called "amenities" that people pay for and don't even get to utilize. The staff has always been friendly, and I'm sure are doing their best, but I will not be renewing my lease with ellyn crossing.
I am a bit upset about not being able to use my balcony when moving in. No one informed me construction was going to be done. Had I known this, I would've taken a different apartment. Seeing as I won't be able to use my balcony for what is looking like the entire term of my lease, I think rent should have been lower.
Using the pool in the summer was more of a hassle than a perk. The hours constantly changed, the rules weren't followed and the pool was closed more than it was open.
I also was upset to find out the hours of the gym. It is only open when the office is. I have an 8-5 job. So the only people who get to utilize this is people who aren't working? That makes no sense to me.
