A wonderful community

I love my apartment, the management is super friendly and its clean and quiet. The bedrooms are huge, there is so many closets and I just love my kitchen. Big windows, lots of light, its nice and warm in the winter with the central heat and air conditioners in every window. I made my apartment into a real home and I am so happy here. Thank you so much Ms. Annalisa. The rent I wrote is NOT the actual rent. it is for the tenants and management to know. P.S. I only wish the intercoms would work. For someone who can not walk, I have to walk across a very long hallway to open the building door for my caregiver every morning and at noon for my PT nurse for my spine. There are intercoms on the outside with each tenant apartment number and name, but no button or anything inside the apartments to buzz them in, but I am just so grateful to have a nice place to live. A lot of disabled and elderly people are living here. Pets are welcome and that is so important for lonely seniors. I am so grateful to have a beautiful apartment in a quiet building with nice neighbors. Who can actually cook. LOL Every time someone cooks it smells so good in the hallway, LOL

RESIDENT FROM 2013 THROUGH 2015....APARTMENT HALLWAYS HAVE NO INSULATION. ALL APARTMENTS HAVE ONLY ONE ENTRANCE ONE WAY IN ONE WAY OUT. ONLY FRONT DOORS NO BACK DOORS IN ALL APARTMENTS. THE PROPERTY IS BED BUG INFESTED I REPEAT THE PROPERTY IS BED BUG INFESTED. THE EXTERMINATOR COMES OUT. THEY GET RID OF THE BED BUGS FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS & THEN THE COME RIGHT BACK. I'VE LIVED HERE GOING ON 3 YEARS & EXPERIENCED 2 BED BUG EPISODES.

Secretary at the front desk is very very rude!I asked that they salt the property and she said that it is just raining and it depends on the weather. I told her I fell yesterday. Didn't seem concerned; continued speaking to me and told Me to let her talk when I was the one who called her!!! Then she had the nerve to hang up on me. Where did she learn her office skills??? And why would they hire such an individual who doesn't give a damn about the tenants!!! Doesn't she know that answering the phone and listening to tenants is her job??? Problem here is that 90% of the people that live here are related! I'm sure after posting this I will face problems. But I am already facing the problem with not being able to discuss my concerns. When I called back to ask if she had hung up on me, She neglected to answer her phone! I called another line and she had maintenance answer! When I asked to speak to the girl that hung up on me, he very sternly said "No! You can talk to me!" I told him I wanted to talk to the Manager or the one who hung up on me and he continued to talk so I hung up on him! Why does Rand Grove not let you speak to the Manager!!!??? Instead you have to speak to some peon that will not let you talk and doesn't give a damn!

I am thankful for my stay here however have had major sinus reaction to this complex. My sence of smell has greatly deteriorated.. You cannot control the heat so mt apt was very HOT! And i had to leave windows open even in winter... The windows are very small so no fresh air in apt and vegtables would mold very quickly.. Maitinance is nice and also office staff. Cops here alot. One murder last year in the parking lot another few shootings. Of course drugs but they keep curfew pretty well. If you mind your own business theres no trouble but my son was punched once and slammed to the ground twice by three diff kids! Chips stolen right out of his hand by a teenager hes a small eight year old. Lord willing we can move soon more for my health but safty is a concern... On the plus palatine is a wonderful town to live in.

Horrible place to live

This place should be torn down. It is dirty and the maintance is horrible. Their is no insulation, lots of bugs, and gangs and drugs. The majority of people are ----- and they are racist against ------ and people who are trying to better themselfs. The music is loud. The landlord admitted to be scared of his own life so he will not be of any assistance if you are attacked , robbed, or harrassed. Most likely he will see you as the problem and do nothing to stop it for his own well being. The police don't care because they think if you live there then you are scum. Not safe for kids and they will be traumatized unless you are ----- and ------ and don;t care about their well being.

Unfair- No Dog Zone

So basically everyone in Rand Grove Village tenants have a dog, the property manager is being unfair and unequal, a newsletter was sent out no "illegal" dogs in the property, but only if you have a medical reason. That makes no sense, you have to be equal to all tenants, if the property manager said "no illegal dogs" then no one can have a dog no matter what, why do you have to have a medical reason to own a dog? How about have a friendly dog place? If you want a dog, you have to pay a deposit and pay a monthly fee?

RAND GROVE IS ONE OF THE WORST APPARTMENTS TO LIVE IN. NOT ONLY ARE THEY FILTHY THEIR MAINT. IS BAD. THIS IS SOME WHERE YOU DONT WANT TO LIVE. APPARTMENT MANAGER IS RUDE AND IGNORANT. INSULATION IS HORRABLE, NOT TO MENTION I HAD CRICKETS IN MY HOUSE DURING THE SUMMER AND LANDLORD SAID THEIR WAS NOTHING HE CAN DO ABOUT IT.

Rand Grove is subsidized housing in Palatine. YOu have to be on a waiting list to get in.

Rand Grove is a pretty good place if you are a low-income family. There are three playgrounds and a community center. There are a lot of gang and drug activity, but it is not nearly as bad as the projects in the city. If you gotta live in the projects, Rand Grove is alright.
