Most everything on a daily basis goes smoothly. The aesthetics of the apartments are below average for this price point. The finishes are wearing off the cabinets, the carpets are worn. The window blinds fall out of the clamps constantly falling on my head because the clamps are worn out. It is supposed to be a smoke free building, but I often smell smoke here and there in the building. The building is supposed to be "green", but it lacks in insulation. The bedrooms are often really cold as the windows do not keep out the cold winds.
Recently, what has compelled me to write a review is there is a bed bug issue in a unit and management is keeping it hush, not doing anything about it and it has been a week. When asked, they will not disclose that a problem exists, but the tenant with the problem has said that it exists and is throwing all the contents from their apartment in a big waste container temporarily parked outside the infested apartment. If any items are removed from that container and introduced in to another apartment, it will continue to spread. Without disclosure of the problem and correct treatment of it, this thing could easily get out of control. The management's attempt to cover up the situation instead of being open and honest is putting hundreds of people at risk unnecessarily. The tenants vertical and horizontal to the infested apartment should be treated as the bed bugs can spread and I am not sure that is occurring.
The buildings are also starting to look rundown and need freshening. The pool area in the summer looks very low class as there are only 2 tables and chairs with tattered umbrellas and about 20 lounge chairs for hundreds of residents. The club house rents out for an outrageous price of $150. For the high rents, none of these problems should even be an issue.
