Filthy and disgusting

They are beyond greedy with money that is funded by HUD. They do not use the extra money to get rid of the rodent issue constantly. Thereis a bad infestation and nothing is being done to fix it. The exterminator that comes sits and talks about how he just bought a new with the main maintenance man and they laugh and they come in and lie and say there’s nothing wrong with unit when there is 100% something wrong with the and there’s holes everywhere nothing gets sealed properly. All they do is give you traps and the money that HUD funds the company they pocket the money instead of providing the extra care and maintenance needed for the tenants to live in a clean environment. Theh also send out fake notices to Tenants to make it seem like it is the tenants fault For infestation when really it’s them trying to cover themselves for getting caught and in trouble for not doing what needs to be done .I am currently working on contacting HUD and contacting the city along with Board of Health regards to their nasty infestation and have all pictures and proof of everything that has gone on within my unit of my three bedroom that they yet to fix either management needs to get fired for the scamming of HUD money being pocketed by them for Not properly getting rid of the rodents or serious measures need to Be taken .

Property is very well maintained. I am proud to live here. Management office and Maintenance staff are professional, they are as well very nice to me. They are always there for me in my time of need. I have been here at 14 apt 3 for 31 years. I give everyone the thumbs up for sure!! Not looking to move out anytime soon. Darlena Harvey

This place is ridiculous. They have taken one of the three bedrooms and did all elegant upgrades and are charging full market rent. The rest of the apartments are low income or disabled. There are cockroaches and mice. They are trying to push out the people that have been there for many years in order to get more money. They are making false claims regarding tenants behavior in order to try and evict them. This is very sad and i would not recommend this place to anyone.

PERSPECTIVE TENTANTS BEWARE...... the surrounding neighborhood is a nice place to live and close to stores and transportation and Management is nice and friendly but........ BOWDOIN APARTMENTS are infested with mice. Management says that its because of the construction being done in the surrounding areas but this is not true. I moved in last year before there was any construction and instantly had mice. Your roommates (mice) are bold and come out in the middle of the day with or without noise, snatch up your food off the table like they brought it and come out consistently to "play" If you have a cat great move in but if not sign at your own risk.........

Finally

Some much needed improvements are on the way. Management Staff professional,friendly and a pleasure to deal with everyone has a "can do attitude". Maintenance Staff are on top of all maintenance problems. Have something broken call the office and it will get done. Winn Residential's team is Top Notch!<br><br>Thanks so much!

I have been a resident for quite some time now and have been an acting President of the Bowdoin Residents Organization. We are currently working with the soon to be new owners and have seen major improvement since they came on board as the management company. The maintenance requests are promptly completed and fixed (that is really an accomplishment). The staff (both office, management and maintenance are approachable, friendly and courteous. <br><br>I realize many people can't believe that the days of unhealthy, unsafe and unsanitary conditions are a thing of the past, well to them all I can say is "Wait and See". Bowdoin Apartments will once again be a place that people will be proud to say that's where I live.

What a difference!

My compliments go out to the Bowdoin staff. The new management company came in a couple of months ago and not a moment to soon. The place had been neglected but already there's a noticable improvements, it's cleaner and the work is completed. In the new year they have schedule some remoldeling with new kitchens, baths, windows and siding. I CAN'T WAIT. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Starting to make a difference!

Property under new management but has a lot of work to do. New management group says that there's a major renovation planned for sometime late fall or early winter. I'll beleieve it when I see it. We have heard this for years. <br><br>However, even after a couple of months we can already see a positive improvement. Property cleaned up, grass is being maintained and when you ask for something to be fixed, it gets fixed. What an idea. It may be too soon for baloons and parades but it seams like our little corner of the world is getting a little brighter.

place is no good. new managment trying to get working class people out and keeping the lowlifes that want to live off the system there. can get no repairs done. drug runned drug users drinkers. no good.

I lived her from 1980-1998. Let me start by saying it was once a beautiful place to raise a family. Management comes and goes. My parents still live there. Both of them work and it is a shame to see only a handful of people go to work to make real money. Half of the residents living in Bowdoin Apartments are drug dealers, druggies, alcoholics and on section 8, The people who work for a living are the last to get cabinets and new doors while the people on section 8 get everything handed to them. If you enjoy looking out your window and seeing people sitting on the stairs smoking and drinking, then you have the place of your dreams. It is a shame because now this place is more run down than the malden projects. How sad it is that people who get kicked out of the Newland Street projects now reside at the Bowdoin Apartments.
