I am having a very good experience living at Watergates. The apartment layout is quite nice and there is enough space for all our stuff. I also should say that the management people are extremely friendly and very helpful. They pretty much made the move-in process pain-free and everything was very smooth.
The apartment complex is very well located and it is about 20 min walking distance to the downtown Annapolis. In addition, there is a small commercial area with some nice restaurants and a coffee shop just behind the complex. The view from the bay is quite nice, with several bbq grills and benches to enjoy a quality time with family and friends.
Watergate is extremely pet friendly.
Overall, I am having a good time living here and I definitely recommend this place.

As a 5 year resident&#44; coming from 20  a big city multi unit downtown building&#44; Watergate Village&#44; its units&#44; staff and location are first rate. yes the buildings are not new&#44; but the care and attention given the physical plant - everything from planting new beds of flowers each year through out the complex&#44; to the daily cleaning of the fitness room&#44; makes the total experience outstanding. When my carpet had to be removed for health reasons&#44; the underlying wood floor&#44; turnout to be beautiful&#44; my guest comment very favorably. Walls&#44; floors and ceilings are so solid - they built them well then - no noise has ever disturbed me. Only time you even know anyone is home is walking past a hallway door if the tv or music is on very loudly. 

There is no issue conveyed to management that goes unanswered for 24 hours - staff is super nice&#44; most have been here more than 20 years. They know what to do for routine maintenance and a re quick to swap out broken or old for new without complaint.

The fitness centre and pool are clean&#44; well supervised&#44; and have the latest equipment. The pool even has a lift to allow handicapped residents gain access.  Docks are well managed&#44; kayak racks&#44; piers kept in good shape. The sailing and kayak clubs add real value.

Dog friendly and owners who pick up after them. 

Parking is easy and safety has never been an issue for me. With a late model sports car&#44; i&#39;d be a prime target. yes there have been some kids&#44; maybe 3 x in 5 years who have broken into a car&#44; but never a big issue - it is a world we live in&#44; happens in suburbs and too. 

A diverse community with some kids&#44; elders&#44; all of whom live well together. Management makes a significant effort to build a community spirit with a variety of wholly paid activities including community breakfasts&#44; holiday parties&#44; barbecues and other organized events. 
The bottom line a great &#44; convenient and wonderful place to live&#44; with nice neighbors and a very professional and responsive management.

I&#39;ve been here just under a year and am being relocated out of state. I&#39;ve met people here who have lived here for decades.  It&#39;s a lovely location in Eastport on Back Creek&#44; with really close proximity to downtown Annapolis&#44; but the upkeep here is only adequate&#44; with litter found around the property.  Sadly it&#39;s just across Bay Ridge Ave. from significant crime&#44; which spills over to Watergate Village&#44; with personal crimes like car break-ins and personal theft common.  Reportedly there used to be a paid security team here&#44; but no more (why not???).  This is a very pet friendly place&#44; and I have enjoyed the walking paths around the complex with views of Back Creek.  There is only adequate lighting at night&#44; and some areas I try to avoid all together because of the poor lighting&#44; and I&#39;m wondering what kind of crime the leasing office is waiting for to happen before correcting the poor lighting here.  There are laundry rooms in the basement&#44; and I feel as if I&#39;m back in college&#44; traipsing down to the laundry room.  I had endless problems with my toilet and bathroom sink backing up after I moved in here&#44; and maintenance must have come a dozen times to snake out the plumbing before finally replacing the toilet.  It&#39;s helped some&#44; but I&#39;ve really just had to learn to live with it.  I agreee with one comment I read here that the management has a &#34;band-aid&#34; approach to repairs.

Watergate Village: a lovely place with minimal upkeep

Update: we moved in February; our deposit has not yet been returned. No response to multiple phone calls. But thatâ€™s in many of the posts too. Did you know that MD law allows you to sue for deposit amount x 3 plus attorney fees?! Review: The water view is why we stayed for 3 years, but ultimately the poor mgmt is why we left. They installed a bird alarm to chase birds off the docks; this can be heard inside the apartment. The shower handle falls off the wall and the water dribbles constantly, as does the toilet; reported this multiple times but it was never fixed. The water bills are aggregated for the building so everyone pays for water waste. Our electric bill was never less than $200/mo due to the single pane windows. Parking varies; suspicious number of family members/ roommates living in some apartments, resulting in crowded parking, but those arrangements usually end in eviction-there is a really high turnover rate; people moving almost every weekend, then parking is eased. We catch about 3 mice a week in the utility room. I would also warn that mgmt has a &apos;1 free month rent&apos; drawing competition for writing 5-star rating review...

Watergate is a beautiful and affordable place to live. The apartments are sprawling and the views are incredible. When we moved in here from out of state I don't think we could have asked for a better place to live.

Beautiful 580 unit property along Back Creek in the Annapolis suburb of Eastport, Maryland.  The property was purchased by new owners and a new Property Management Group took over weeks before we moved into a beautifully renovated 2 Bedroom 1.5 Bath 3rd floor apartment.  While there's some lingering issues left unsolved by the outgoing owner's management team;  the new leasing team and the maintenance crew have been nothing short of professional and responsive to our formally requests and needs.

Wait! This place needs a lot of work. Amenities decreasing while fees and rent increasing. Service requests go unanswered. There's been constant decline. It's difficult to actually reach someone on the phone.

My apartment was not move in ready. Nothing was cleaned from the last tenant, there were bugs crawling all over the windows and doors and the floor, there's a hole in the bedroom door, the fridge is missing shelves, the door to the main building is broken so anyone can walk in, my front door does not close all the way because the lock does not fit the door, the kitchen sink faucet is falling off, the dishwasher was not properly place so it rocks and has exposed wires, there is clear water damage on the ceiling, the blinds are all old, raggedy and damaged, the patio was not treated or repainted. I put these requests in on my move in day Aug 21, it is now Sept 3 and nothing has been fixed or dealt with. The staff in the leasing office are extremely friendly and professional, but my apartment was not move in ready and they still charged me first month rent and I want that money back. I've been reach out daily and no one has gotten back to me about my request. The area is beautiful and people in the community are friendly, but I am not happy with my move in experience.

HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!! ROACHES, HOLES, and CRACKS I would like to speak to someone about this issue. This is a horrible way to move into a new place and have all of these problems. No one seems to care but if that was their family member or them selves they wouldn't be happy about this issue.

situation is a problem in this community with the capacity to hold the refuge under-sized. Security seems adequate although a number of cars

New management is working hard to complete maintenance work for all apartments. Very happy, as this is a beautiful place to live. My only complaint is we don't have security. I know they're working on that??

It has been terrible with other management companies.  Now I see the new company trying but I know you have lots of work ahead of you.  I do say please cut the bushes, plants.  I had 2 friends come by and they didn't like the outside looks dirty. They said.

Ok until Bainbridge took over.  The maintenance request for unanswered. There is no communication. Very very unhappy. .....,..............................................................................

Mixed feelings--3 separate Propert Mgt firm entities with different levels of follow through has been my almost 2yr experience  Bainbridge may be more committed than 2 previous passive remote land ownership entities

We have lived at Watergate/Nautilus point for many years. We have a wonderful view of the water. 
The other residents have been friendly and nice.
The office staff was very helpful and responsive to meet our needs.

Of course like everyone else Cleo is wonderful.
He quickly solves issues with an incredible positive and cheerful attitude..

Since I moved to this property in 2015, there have been 3 owners, 4 management companies, and too many property managers and leasing staff to count. The exterior of the buildings are in bad shape and many of the interiors are old with nothing done since to them since the 1960s. Many are infested with roaches and mice. There is supposed to be a no smoking rule and an addendum to the lease includes a no smoking policy. I have had to suffer for more than a year with my neighbor smoking cigarettes and marijuana with the smell coming into my apartment. I have sent numerous emails to the current property manager as well as the previous one. There is no response when I complain writing or by phone. And they won&apos;t come to my apartment to see what I&apos;m experiencing. Just last week, there was a fire caused by a couch burning up. Another problem with the no smoking policy not being enforced. If you are considering this property, take a good walk around. Take a look at the dumpster areas, the parking, and the condition of the buildings and how the patios and balconies are maintained. Patios and balconies are supposed to be kept clean but it is just another policy that doesn&apos;t get enforced.

It's a beautiful place to live. The new management have made themselves very accessible. Their maintenence is prompt and friendly. For the most part residents are kind and friendly. I feel safe here and enjoying walking my dogs along Back Creek.

I have enjoyed living here. The location is amazing with the waterfront right at your door.  I live in the high rise apartments in one of the un updated apartments. I love it as it is but have seen the updated units and they're very nice.

Friendly, nice people, lots of dogs!  Many amenities- pool, gym, marina, playgrounds, dog park, beautiful views. The owner and management changed recently and they are doing a better job with repairs and maintenance, and seem to have started a beautification even planted trees. I wish parking was enforced, many nights I have to walk a distance. Also a big clean up is needed and general common area attention. For example here is a picture of where I stopped when I power washed outside my patio.

I have complained 22 times via email plus phone calls and in person visits regarding a neighbor&apos;s use of cigarettes and marijuana in a no-smoking property. I received one response but don&apos;t know if anything was done. I&apos;m still having the problem and have requested to be moved or let out of my lease. The neighbor is in violation of their lease and the landlord is in violation of mine yet they want me to pay to transfer or end my lease. I have suffered physically and put under extreme stress due to the smells in my apartment and the lack of action taken by the Nautilus Point staff. And as a bonus, trash overflows from the dumpsters all the time. If only I could photograph a smell. The walls on my floor have large black marks that have never been painted, chips around the elevator frame, scratches on the elevator door left by someone leaving obscene graffiti, and tiles missing in the lobby. They do no building maintenance. The property manager does not respond to resident&apos;s complaints or calls. I don&apos;t know how this is even legal.

We love Nautilus Point apartments. Location is the best, walking distance to downtown with so many amenities. Unlike other apartments, we have a gorgeous water view, marina, storage units, huge gym. Beautiful pool with Clubhouse alongside with two grills. Freedom boat club is right here at our marina. Apartments are older, but very spacious compared to all the new apartments in the area. We have a spacious dining area overlooking over the water. We're in the process of looking for a house to purchase, but don't want to leave here. I think we'll stay for another year??

Given the chance I would never move here again. It's becoming dangerous (cars being broken into and packaged being stolen from the mail area. As I said earlier?I would have not moved here if I knew what I know now. Completely dissatisfied.
