I moved in in November of 2010&#44; and happily renewed my lease when the time came last November.  This is all around a great place to live.  Location is good: a couple of miles from a hospital&#44; a community college&#44; and the mall in Columbia.  My dealings with the management have always been good&#44; not that I&#39;ve needed to interact with them too much.  I&#39;ve only needed to make one service request so far (my heater wasn&#39;t working) and the maintenance guys were waiting for me as I walked back from the office having made the request.  They fixed it right away&#44; and we&#39;re quite nice while doing it.   The floor plan is spacious&#44; especially since I live alone.   I have a wood burning fireplace&#44; which was a nice perk.   There&#39;s never a problem with parking&#44; at any time of day.  The grounds are all kept pretty nice and clean.   I think that there is only one thing I&#39;d say that was negative&#44; and that&#39;s about the appliances.  They are pretty old.  However:  they work fine&#44; so it&#39;s not really that big a deal.

I love living at Clarys Crossing. The staff in the office are so professional but very easy to talk to. The community is always well maintained and if I have a problem in my apt the maintenance guys are always quick to respond. My washing machine flooded my apt one evening (way after business hours)and I called the emergency line and someone came out for me immediately. It was something simple&#44; I moved my machine because I dropped something behind it but didn&#39;t notice I pulled the hose out. It took Haki less than 5 min to hook it back up and was definitely something I could have done on my own had I noticed I pulled it out. I felt terrible but we ended up laughing about it. There are many nice apartments to live in Howard County&#44; but the people here make it SO MUCH better.  

I&#39;ve been at Clarys for over a year now and I shopped around alot.  I like the spacious bedrooms and the ample closet space.  I moved from a 3 story townhouse&#44; so I needed the space.  The staff has been extremely helpful&#44; the maintenance guys are great and respond and repair quickly.  The staff then follows up with a call or email to ensure we were taken care of.  The apartment buildings are kept clean. They have a new area for the gym and looks great.  The gym equipment needs replacing&#44; but they&#39;re functional. The pool always has a staff member to ensure no one drowns or gets out of hands and that its used by only residents and their guest.  I haven&#39;t had any problems since I&#39;ve moved in. The neighbors are friendly and quiet.  I have a dog and I really like the pet stations all around the complex. Unfortunately not everyone cleans up after their pet and i&#39;ve seen several areas with dog feces in the common areas (not cool).  If I had a complaint&#44; that would be the only one. It&#39;s not really bad&#44; but it&#39;s grosse nonetheless.  Other than that&#44; I&#39;m happy to have made the choice to move here.  Unfortunately due to government budget cuts&#44; I&#39;m being affected and can no longer afford the rent so I&#39;ll have to move soon. Otherwise&#44; I&#39;d be here for quite some time.  

I&#39;ve lived at Clarys Crossing for one year and would definitely say good things about the complex&#44; management&#44; and maintenance. Any problems I&#39;ve had in the unit have been resolved quickly (often the same day) and thoroughly.  I choose this place over others based on price and location. Management is easy to deal with and works hard to make the place feel like home.

I am moving&#44; but did not look at other apartment complexes because I didn&#39;t feel I could do any better and am only moving to be in a larger condo.  

I would recommend Clarys Crossing.  

Very good solid experience

Tess and Amira are awesome! Overall we like the complex with a few minor issues, mostly with outside maintenance
1: snow removal this winter was absolutely terrible. When the complex did get plowed the job was very poor
2: when there is heavy rain there is a lot of standing water in the parking area which is frustrating to walk through
3: the trash is not emptied quickly enough. See attached picture for what the trash compactor frequently looks like.

Overall fairly happy. Not too much noise from neighbors. Overall biggest complaints: snow removal was terrible in the winter. Outdoor maintenance isn&apos;t that great with lots of issues with standing water due to lack of leaf cleanup. Trash removal is horrific... See attached photo

People smoke drugs. The furniture is very old. Someone slept in the hall way. The ceiling collapse and very awful, disgusting!! They tricked us and there was no any compensation! Very horrible place. Don&apos;t live here.

The management constantly changes without warning. There was a fire at this complex last year and management did nothing to help. If anything they made the situation more stressful by being unprofessional, they really didnâ€™t care what happened to the residents after the fire . This complex is not safe. According to the fire reports there were no working sprinkler systems or fire alarms. Not worth the money.

I like sitting on my little 1st floor balcony area literally watching a woodpecker chopping away on a tree in front of me and seeing a chipmunk run in the garden area beside where I sit having coffee in the a.m. The hallway in my building is well-kept and clean. 90 days and all&apos;s well.&quot;

Extra Amenity at Clary&apos;s Crossing 

5 floods. Had a bird inside, they gold me they weren't bird people. Car vandalized twice. Broken into once. Appliances are always breaking down. Water heater exploded. Parking is bad, trash has always been terrible. I move here because we could buzz people in, hurt my ankle had to hop down to get doordash.

Clary's is a great place to live.  It is right between DC and Baltimore.  It is very clean and cozy. Clary's has a great pool to use in the summer. Clary's has a gym which is very clean and nice. The neighborhood is excellent and I highly recommend Clary's to anyone looking for an apartment home.
