Resident 2012

8/1/2012

This place is great! I have lived here since May 2012 after moving from Silver Spring. My apartment is much larger than my previous place (almost double) for less rent than I was going to pay down there. I have a beveled ceiling (being on the top floor) with a ceiling fan in the living room. The view overlooks the pool, which is well kept. I never hear neighbors at all (also unlike my old place). I've seen them come in and out of the building but haven't heard anything. There's a fire place, and extra storage in a room off the deck. The bathroom has a very large mirror and also a large shelf on the far side of the tub. Walk-in closets are also very nice, and have two rows of shelves on one side and one on the other, each shelf with a bar under it to hang clothing. In the kitchen, there is a dishwasher. In the hallway, there is a washer and dryer. I am very happy not to have to deal with paying to do laundry any more. It's a convenience that I have almost forgot about until I moved in here. The gym is nice too, and I am able to go down there and go for a run late at night since it's open 24 hours and I usually get home late from work (they are building a bigger gym as well). The staff is really nice, and will go out of their way to help you - something that I really appreciate and haven't seen at a lot of other places. They store packages for you in the office as well, so if you do a lot of your shopping on Amazon, like myself, you can just go down there and get them. Rent is paid online as well, which is very convenient. As far as TV and internet services go, I don't remember what's available, but Verizon Fios is definitely available. It's only a few minutes from the mall as well - on the same street (the mall is also a nice mall with lots of restaurants as well as higher end stores). It's easy to get to 29, from which the ICC is directly accessible as is I-70 / Baltimore if you go north. There's a lot of great restaurants around as well, Hickory Ridge Grill being one of my favorites. The grocery store is also very close (Two of them). They did just put a Wegmans in as well, and that's not that far either of a drive, and is open until Midnight, which is very convenient for me on the weekdays. Clarys Crossing is at a nice location outside the busy environment of Silver Spring and Baltimore, very relaxing, but with both cities being close. As far as traffic goes, I've never encountered any - definitely not like Silver Spring. It's very quick to get to 29. Jerry
