PRO:
1. I recently moved from my house and have not lived in an apartment for over 25 years. I am in a 1 bedroom on the 3rd floor with the windows facing the woods. The ceilings are high which does away with that boxed in feeling that often accompanies a small space. It is quite nice.
2. The buildings are well maintained, as are the grounds.
3. I have requested service repairs twice and the issue was fixed the next day.
4. The buildings are quiet and most people remember to close the door, so pretty secure and safe.
5. The buildings are pet friendly, which is wonderful. While I see a lot of people walking their dogs, I have not seen any poop and have not been accosted by an untrained or untended dog. Plus I never hear a dog barking for long hours. In these aspects, it is much better than my previous neighborhood.
6. Peapod delivers groceries to the 3rd floor.
7. While the leasing office is open the same hours I am at work, they often leave my packages by the door and don't make me wait until the weekend to get my packages.
8. The people in the leasing office are great and promptly respond to emails.
9. The full sized washer and dryer is great.
10. I usually get to park within a few feet of the entry door. Haven't had any problems even when my car was left loaded with belongings during moving.
11. I love that they left so many trees on the property.Some other complexes in the area didn't. Much nicer. Provides lots of privacy and lot of shade for the parking lot. Everyone's cars end up in the shade for at least part of the day. Very, very nice not to be stepping into a boiling car.
CON:
1.The bill pay system accepts no responsibility for errors and the only other option is to pay by check. Can't use your bank's bill pay.
2. The recycling is horrible. There is one small dumpster and one small trashcan. No one breaks down their boxes. Consequently, there is almost always no space for recycling. Other tenants told me they just gave up, which is evidenced by the amount of recycling in the trash compactor. Which brings me to the 3rd con.
3. Tenants are charged for water, trash, and a processing fee, which is pretty hefty...about $30 month, much more than I paid when I owned a house and was able to recycle.
