Management is lousy, but great with excuses and covering for one another. Renters beware. Believe little that you are told and everything that you see (except--don t be fooled by the look of the rental office). If you are told we have someone clean the grounds and buildings just take a look at the trash, poop, broken blinds/shutters, lights that are out and dirty hallways if you are told this is a secure building visit the building without management and chances are the building door(s) won t be closed if you are told that the apartment is ready for move-in don t assume that most things will be in working order if you are told the apartments are energy efficient be prepared to buy plastic to cover ALL windows that is if you want to have a warm apartment (you will still have a high electricity bill) and forget about conserving water constant drips. Utilities range from $30-$40. There is only one dumpster for the complex and when it is full, you will know because trash will be pilled around it. The complex is located off of busy streets, so expect lots of noise at all hours (between the street noise and your neighbors). Safety is a major concern, as there isn t a lot of light and the area just feels sketchy. I have never been inside the gym and won t be using it due to safety concerns. You ll pay a one-time amenities fee of $250, which is a joke all things considered. This place is dirty. I have seen housing projects that were kept in better shape. If you decide to move here, check/test EVERYTHING in the apartment BEFORE you sign a lease...DO NOT lease an apartment that you have not seen/checked/tested. Keep a record of each maintenance request and check the status online, because Equity Residential requires that basic requests be completed in two days/48 hours or you should receive a credit. Maintenance may close your request before it has actually been completed Be prepared to fight for the credit. Positive the apartments have full-size washers/dryers. I would only recommend these apartments to someone who had nowhere else to go...living here is stressful and luckily temporary.
