Good day, I will say, there is an issue, if you bring it to their attention, they will do their best to assist as quickly as possible. The only issues I can think of is dogs peeing on the elevators. They are quick to get it cleaned up, but it does happen often.

Great Location, Decent Living Space, but Poor Management and Cleanliness

I've been living at The Core for two years, and overall, it's been a decent experience. The location is excellent, close to the metro, with plenty of stores nearby and a good selection of places to grab dinner. The building is quiet, and the apartments themselves are decent, with modern equipment and new appliances. When I first moved in, the maintenance of the community areas was well done, and everything felt clean and cared for. However, over time, the cleanliness of the common areas has declined significantly, and at times, it's downright terrible. While I understand some of this is due to the residents, this apartment complex is not cheap, so a basic standard of cleanliness should be upheld. The biggest downside is the administration and concierge. The administration staff are rude, unhelpful, and almost impossible to reach, they never respond to emails or phone calls. The concierge is an older woman who seems to dislike interacting with residents; she won't even acknowledge a "good morning." Despite these issues, it's not a bad place to live. If the administration and concierge received customer service training and learned to be more professional and approachable, this place could be much better.

Really enjoy my time here

I have been living at the core since spring 2024. So far I have really enjoyed my time here. The location near the red line and bus stops are great for getting places, and the mall + Whole Foods, Safeway, giant are all within walking distance. The pool and gym are well maintained and have been serving me well during the summer heatwave. Staff are also great and organize lots of fun events with food for the residents. Would highly recommend!

I've lived in several apartments, but none compare to the experience at Core @ Silver Spring. The amenities are top-notch; the gym is well-equipped with modern machines and always impeccably clean. It's a dream to work out there. The pool area is my favorite spot to unwind - beautifully maintained, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing weekends. Maintenance requests are handled with lightning speed; I've never waited more than a few days for an issue to be resolved. The staff deserves special mention - they're incredibly friendly, always ready to help with a smile. Whether it's a question about the facilities or a small repair, they go above and beyond to ensure residents are happy. Living here has been a delight, thanks to these fantastic amenities and the attentive staff. I highly recommend Core @ Silver Spring to anyone looking for a place that truly feels like home.

Experience as a resident

My experience as a resident has been fine. I didn't have any issues with my application process, minimal issues on move in day mainly w Updater, and I haven't really had any problems since I've been here. Nowhere is perfect but I like my unit and I love the area.

I submitted an application for 2 bedroom apartment on 04/17/2024 to the Core. My salary is around $100 000 per year. And I was eligible for an apartment with monthly rental fee $2,700. Core asked me to pay $300 deposit. When I paid $25 for the application I was directed to the guarantors to pay the deposit. This company sent a not clear contract and indicated to pay a not-refundable deposit of $2,700. I had 48 hours to make a decision to pay the deposit. However, the CORE did not wait 48 hours and sent me an email indicating that my application is declined. It seems to me that they just wanted to cheat me and charge $2700 deposit having already negative decision regarding my application. I do not recommend dealing with the CORE complex and the guarantors company.
