First of all&#44; I think MDCA is a fine apartment building. A little noisy perhaps&#44; but if you want total quiet I suppose a nursing home might be your best option. My first (and hopefully only) gripe is the happy hour. They advertised a happy hour&#44; but I showed up and it was like Deadwood (sans tumbleweed). Come on MDCA!!! I demand satisfaction!!!

Anyways&#44; please don&#39;t take this review too seriously. Also&#44; it seems like there are a lot of haters (competitors perhaps) in this joint.

Nice Apartments&#44; but Shadowy Happy Hours

We moved in to Mill District Apartments shortly after it opened in Janurary of 2011. We enjoy that there is a major bus stop right in front of the building&#44; and that it is 1/2 a block away from the Mississippi and West River Parkway! We pay an arm and a leg for rent but it is worth it considering the staff that maintains the property are very professional and timely&#44; and the amazing club room&#44; pool&#44; sauna&#44; and workout room are always open! We like the security the building provides and love that we live in such a pet friendly environment. Dan has been particularly helpful in anything we ask of him. He is a true professional!

Great Location and Great Management&#44; with awesome amenities!

I have lived in these apartments for over two years and for most of that I was very happy. They have recently lost nearly all of their employees due to new management. Now I can see why. Their management treats their residents like crap so I can only assume they treat their employees the same. The cable was turned off for months because they couldn&apos;t pay the bill, most of the furniture in the club room is broken, the exercise equipment is severely outdated, the hallways are always dirty with trash and even puke that will be there for days. I have heard the management make disparaging comments about ethnic people, single mothers and the reason that they don&apos;t keep up the property (they&apos;ve already signed the lease so why try to make the place better.) I can&apos;t wait till my lease is up and I can get away from these horrible people whom have inflicted stress and emotional turmoil on me for the last few months.

Pls see my earlier comments ~ Everyone has gone out of their was to make me feel at home !  Still getting settled with a couple of things such as parking, and unpacking boxes, though the fat and building and community feel great !

Great management. Nigel and his team are always happy to help. They are all friendly and professional. Also, what great neighborhood and community to live in. Walking distance to restaurants & parks. It's a thumbs up for me.

Unhappy with it overall. Much improvement is needed here. Follow through and honesty. I moved into a dirty apartment, that set the stage for what I continued to experience throughout my stay here. Hottub has been out of service numerous times for months at a time. The outdoor water feature has never worked. The follow through of management has been subpar. I had hundreds of dollars worth of packages and groceries stolen over the course of 15 months. My ac bill is just short of $400 a month in the summer due to subpar ac and failed promises of new shade instillation. My wood floors have been needing fixed since last fall and still no one has come to look at that despite numerous conversations and emails with the property manager.  I am overall displeased. I loved my apartment but that is about it.

The staff and amenities are world class. I love living here. All the other residents have been great too. I feel safe here, and I feel safe having packages delivered here, even if I'm away traveling when they arrive.

It's a super cute complex with great amenities but its lacking in security seeing as ive had many packages stolen and found homeless people sleeping in our stairwell(especially scary as a young woman). the area itself is super cute and quaint and safer than other parts of downtown. my apartment was freshly renovated and definitely gives the luxury hotel feel that they advertise. just wish they had more cameras and security so theft wouldn't be as much of an issue
