DO NOT BE SWAYED BY THE POSITIVE REVIEWS ON HERE! Let me try to make this a objective as possible...I have never been mistreated nor am I a disgruntled resident trying to lash back at this apartment complex; however, I do want to help other prospective renters avoid the mistake that I made by having tunnel vision and focusing on all the glowing past reviews of this place, as they are quite outdated and things here have changed dramatically since many of those reviews were posted.
First off, the staff at this place has more turnover than a college basketball team. This causes problems with consistency, experience, and problem resolution, which were not problems when I first moved in here. There seems to be a new person in the office just about every month. Management has also changed since many of these past reviews were posted. The new management here is inconsistent, unreliable, communicates poorly, and resorts to excuses before trying to understand what residents are saying.
Once bubbly and willing to help and resolve just about any problem at whatever cost by going the extra mile and embracing flexibility, the management here no longer seems to be customer centric, but instead has become more business-minded and money oriented. In the end, this is still a business, but a higher service level and happy residents would be far more effective than the path that this apartment is headed down. When I first moved in, staff was out and about the apartment, smiling and saying hi to everyone that they crossed paths with. I'd be lucky to get a smile or a greeting from the new staff and management that has taken over. On a positive note, the maintenance staff here should be the ones in charge, they are extremely good at what they do and are far more personable than the management and office staff, so no complaints there.
The pros of this apartment are as follows: FANTASTIC LOCATION...if this is your #1 priority, then you probably don't have to care about the rest. The amenities are abundant...pool table, club room, workout facility, business center, outdoor fire place and patio, grill, indoor pool and hot tub, sauna, ping pong table, and the list goes on. The common areas are all clean and very nice. If you're less concerned about service and budget and more concerned about location and amenities, then you probably wouldn't mind calling this place home. However, keep in mind that many of these amenities were damaged, or "out of order" during my lease here. Be prepared to be frustrated at times, b/c it seems like there is always something wrong with at least one of the amenities.You pay a great price for amenities here, so when these are not available for you to use it can be quite frustrating.
To wrap this up, I just want to also note that this apartment complex once had a FANTASTIC community feel to it! The last property manager was very good and keeping this a focal point. Since management and staff have turned over this community feel has completely diminished and the service level has dropped off dramatically. Live here if location and amenities are your sole consideration, but don't say you weren't warned of the rest. Lastly, make sure to visit this place in person. While the interior pictures look stunning, most rooms are constructed very cheaply. This place is like the model home in Arrested Development...looks fantastic from the camera lens, but as soon as you take a closer look, things start to fall apart and you uncover the lack of quality that once fooled you into believing that this is a luxury apartment complex...b/c it isn't.
