I have been living in s mpls all my life. I like what Southsider offers and the staff is friendly. If you like the city life and like the community this is a good fit. I have no problem with the area .

They fix any problems right away and are always super helpful. Good location for the train if you need that. Lots of amenities! There is a farmer's market right outside in the summer that is fun. The lounge upstairs has a working barbecue too.

Awesome location and great community area and Even though I have only recently discovered your organization, your values intrigued me. I share your commitment to the environment and admire how dedicated you are to the cause. The events are very successful in not only its fundraising efforts but also in teaching the local community about its ecological footprint. And the emphasis on mental health and alternative education is something I hope to incorporate into future events.

Moved into the complex back in 2021 and it's kinda gotten worse over time. There have been at least 3 changes in management and it almost seems nonexistent at this point. The only thing that's more or less consistent is the maintenance staff and they've been doing their best. A good part of the issue is also the residents for sure.

Overall poor experience. Bad quality neighborhood with poor management staff that doesn't do anything. Whenever you call nobody answers the phone and they lack the ability to get anything done for you.I have no plans on returning.

When I was visiting. The atmosphere of both the B-side & Southsider was a different type of energy that I genuinely enjoyed. I was honor to really see some of the residents interact with staff and you don't really see happiness being shown. It was a different sight to see it there.

There's no security at all. When there's not garbage in the halls there's pee and poop in the elevator and stairwell. The staff is never on site. They're always at the building next door and if you need them they'll tell you to go to that building but you have no way inside

I love it because I can do all my shopping in a two block area. There's many ways to get to and from with buses and trains! Only one problem is there isn't much parking even though there is parking lots! I don't know if I have visitors where they can park without getting their car towed.

Clean apartment building with modern amenities, janitorial and maintenance staff are typically very consistent and through in their services, as it's connected to another building, near major bus and train routes so public transport isn't a hassle

ONE MAJOR problem With Southside apartments is the SECU at building after my visit and your I went back to visit family their and and I was waiting for my UBER and I was approached by the security officer he said to me are u resident at this building and I said no I am visiting family and am waiting for my uber and he said who are u visiting gave him the name and he said u can wait here so step outside or else than I said sir am causing any trouble to you or the building and he said no but I can't have people like you I'm the building than I asked him for his name we're he refused than I told him sir you have a gun and your maken me very uncomfortable than he said if I don't leave he will have use force than he touched his gun than I was scared for my life step out to entrance between the doors and still he insisted I have go out the double door go outside before he uses force

The Southsider apartment is a great building for affordable housing. The tenants are friendly and respectful. If I ever have an issue, management is sure to take care of it. Having an underground parking garage is a must in the Minnesota winters, so that has been invaluable.

Southsider is a very nice building, with a very good maintenance crew, in an area that is in limbo. Lots of investment into improvement, and good public transit connection. Very nice neighborhood to the south, and lake Nokomis & Hiawatha are within walking distance.

The apartments are quite nice with large windows in the living space that allow abundant natural light. Appliances are almost brand new, as expected with a building only a few years old. Washer/dryer in each apartment along with internet service available up to a gigabyte per second. Building staff is very friendly and helpful with any issues. Underground parking is available, which is great for Minnesota winters. There is also easy access to the Blue Line LRT and major bus routes.

My partner and I really enjoy living here and being a part of the community. We have good communication with our neighbors, the noise level is never too loud, and we often feel that we can rely on the maintenance staff in order to fix any issues that may arise in our unit. I've been living at this property for eight months, and I have been very impressed with the management and operations of this building. It is very rare to find a community that balances the needs of the residents while keeping a clean and fully operating community. I got locked out of my apartment on a Saturday, and Willie, the general manager, was in the office at 7 pm, willing to help me and ensure I got into my home. His genuine demeanor and willingness to help are always a joy to encounter. I love being a Southsider!
