Management is personable and generally willing to respond to requests - customer service is fairly good. Management tries to take care of maintenance requests. Logging a maintenance request can be done online. Noise from neighbors slamming their door causes some consternation - the entire building shakes if/when a neighbor slams their door. We've been here just under one year; when we signed our second lease at 6 months, they raised our rent. A month ago we were given notice that with our next lease they'll raise the rent again. Asked about the rising rent and got an effusive response: they compare what you're paying to a grossly inflated "market rate," to make you think you're getting a deal. One serious problem at Summit Ridge - bogus windows. In the winter, with the windows tightly shut, wind comes streaming through - you'll actually feel a breeze. If you have window(s) overlooking the parking lot, when trucks or louder vehicles are started-up or driven in the parking lot - you'll hear those vehicles loud and clear even with your windows tightly shut. The builder must have saved a bundle on windows. If outside noise or energy bills are a concern for you, you might the pathetically cheap windows. If you want isolation from the noise of the parking lot, pick an apt. with no windows near the parking lots. Crime is not a factor. The residents are docile. There's virtually no rough element at Summit Ridge or in Lee's Summit. Police officers reportedly live in the complex, and you'll see patrol cars driving through the parking lot. Grounds maintenance is way above average. They throw a fortune at grounds keeping. An army of hard working men invade the apt. complex once or twice a week to keep the grass cut, bright-green and weed free. It gets loud with the mowers and leaf blowers, but the flora is always immaculate.
