Resident ā€¢ 2014 - 2015

7/13/2015

Where do I begin? The negatives: 1. This place is being taken over by foreigners from India. They are everywhere! They are loud, they don't speak (except to each other) and they drop trash in common areas. At night after dark they come out in large groups and take over the business center, fitness center, sand volleyball court, and pool. Forget about using the amenities because the ------- have taken them all over. They walk around the facilities in packs of twenty-thirty and and don't leave for hours upon hours. I'm not even sure that they are all really residents here or if they phone a friend and use free amenities. The only residents who use the amenities are the -------. I'm talking about 60-70% ------- live here. 2. The wifi DOES NOT WORK and has not worked for as long as I've lived here. They lie to each potential resident and tell them that "the wifi extends out from the main office to the pool, and you can sit at the pool and be on your laptop or tablet and etc. I've been here for nearly one year and it is a LIE. They keep saying that they are working to get it fixed. No, they don't have wifi. 3. There are shutters hanging from apartment buildings for longer then should be. Maintenance is slow and they sometimes forget to put a work order in after you make a complaint. The windows are HORRIBLE at this complex. Be prepared to spend a lot of extra money on high utility bills here because the windows allow a significant amout of air in and out of them. 4. They've changed management too many times. What's up with that? Management changed 3 months after i got here. 5. You must LOVE DOGS in order to live here because 95% of the residents own dogs. Also, there are aggressive and extremely large dogs at this complex. A couple of dogs try to take a bite out of me almost every time I step out of my door. One lives next door--and the other one floor down. It's scary if you're not a dog lover. There are a lot of dogs in hiding at this complex (pit bulls and large aggressive dogs). 6. The girls in the office can be stuck and rude once you sign your lease and move in. the are EXTREMELY fake when they are trying to get you to sign a lease. Keep your conversation with them to a minimum if you like living in peace. 7. The amenities are open for anyone and everyone to use. This place lacks security. Residents prop open the doors to the fitness center and basketball court for anyone to get in use. The pool gate and sand volleyball court gate are NEVER locked. So, basically any non paying person (who doesn't even live here) can use the amenities that the residents spend their hard earned money on. It's a complete joke. I could move and come back and use the fitness center and pool and no one would care or even notice. This is my biggest complaint about this complex. You're paying for something that anyone can use for free. 8. ------- are taking over this complex! I cannot stress this enough. You must be okay with foreigners and foreign language being spoken where ever you walk in order to live here. A couple lives on the other side of the wall from me and the man is abusive to the woman and they argue very LOUDLY. 9. Which brings me to my next complaint: the walls are paper thin and you can almost hear your neighbors breathing. It's important to know who your neighbors are. I'm in a quiet building with a lot of elderly residents-so it's not too bad. My only complaint is when my neighbor that I share a bedroom wall with starts to argue with his girlfriend/wife (which is once a month). 10. There are a lot of elderly residents that live here. Which is pro for some (me) and a con for others (the young). 11. The apartment sometimes smells like sewage. 12. Half of the washers in the laundry room are broke. The laundry room is often dirty. But, it's not too bad. The Positives: 1. It's a great neighborhood and pretty much everything that you need is here on site (business center, fitness center, pool) or in walking distance (restaurants, banks, hospital, walmart, schools, doctor's offices and etc). 2. The residents are friendly and you'll make friends easily. They have lots of residential activities each month--so, it's easy to meet your neighbors if you'd like. 3. The Main office is nice. You can sit down there and watch TV and have a free cup of coffee and candy. The apartments are NOT LUXURY at all--but, they are nice and well maintained. The apartment fixtures are all cheap and basic fixtures. The floor is a laminate sheet. There is no wood, no tile, no granite, no marble, no stainless steel--no luxury. The cabinets aren't even real. Everything is cheap and fake. My cousin lives in low income housing and has real tile in his kitchen and bathroom, real wood cabinets, and real marble counter tops in the bathroom. His apartment is just as nice as this one-it's just older and comes with roaches. 4. There's no roaches. I've never seen one. :) 5. it's quiet and safe. I feel safe going for a walk late at night. 6. There are no young people here. 7. During the summer months the landscape is pretty.

The management did change after 7 years with the previous company but the new company is great and they plan on making some changes that you will love! We hope that you will stop by and say hi to us in the office and bear with us as we make our changes. I appreciate you taking the time to write this review. Thank you again, Ashley Mansell, Community Director
