I moved to The Aventine from New York City just over one month ago and am very happy here. The rental process was handled smoothly and professionally. The on-site team is friendly and helpful. My one bedroom apartment is roomy and from my balcony I can see the pool area and the mountains. The amenities are excellent (gym, large public space with computers, full kitchen, many TV's, pool table and free coffee machine). Someone posted here complaining about the noise - in the buildings and from the airplanes coming into the Asheville Airport (which is conveniently located at the next exit on I-26). Yes, I do hear a little noise from my upstairs neighbor but I feel it's normal in any apartment complex. As far as the airplane noise - well, that's something prospective renters should check out before they rent. I have no problem with it whatsoever. I looked at a number of apartment complexes before renting here and find the convenience to so many things - shopping, services, restaurants, the North Carolina Arboretum and more really a bonus. I would be happy to recommend The Aventine to any of my friends.
