The Aventine is a beautifully maintained property and was fairly close to multiple nearby amenities (Biltmore Square is just around the corner). However, we are very disappointed by the billing practices this management company continues to enforce. You will have to pay an upfront pet fee of $300 per animal which does NOT go towards any potential damage to your unit. When you leave your unit, you may be confronted with a $700 + fee for carpet replacement. We are one of 4 previous renters with pets who have now had this charge, with the claims that "traces of pet urine" were found on the carpet. We have serious concerns about the validity of these claims but have had no success with the management team in getting our concerns resolved. In fact, the current property manager claims that most animals will pee on the carpet at some point- apparently defending the stance that all pet owners will likely be charged with carpet replacement fees at the Aventine! The fact that this seems to be a common practice for all pet owners in the building is problematic at best. Be forewarned!
