My wife and I are relocating from Upstate NY to Hendersonville NC where our home is being built. We needed a temporary rental home for six months and were looking for a three bedroom unit, with the possibility of additional storage space if required, to store our furniture etc. We found the Aventine on the internet and engaged via phone and email with Kent in their Leasing Office. Kent was great every step of the way, he offered a number of options including storage, options, responded quickly to questions and found the perfect, 3BR, 2 bath 1760 sqft, first floor (easy to move in and out) apt for us. Without ever seeing the complex we digitally signed the lease. Kent assured us that once we and the movers arrived, IF we needed additional storage they would work to accommodate us at that time. Prior to our arrival Kent personally inspected our unit and confirmed it had been freshly painted and thoroughly cleaned. We, especially my wife are very fussy about cleanliness! The day we arrived was Kent' day off so he left us in the capable hands of his colleague Hannah who warmly greeted us with a welcome package, keys, etc., but most importantly toured us through the additional storage spaces available in close proximity to our apartment. As we were told, the apartment was freshly painted and thoroughly cleaned. In fact I took out our swifter and began to clean the wood floors, but there was no dirt to be found. Everything was in good working order. We arrived almost a week ahead of our moving van, without a single chair and sleeping on an air mattress. Not a problem though, our apartment was 15 steps from their fairly well equipped fitness center ( which we now use ~ 5X/week), and below that is the Clubhouse/Lounge with comfortable seating, coffee, wifi, printer and a "media room" with big screen tv and very comfortable sofas. Prior to our furniture arriving we would bring our dinner down to the media room and comfortably watch TV in the evening. These amenities really filled the gap until our furniture arrived. We decided to rent one of the attached garages about 200 feet from our apartment. We are glad we did. Here are some highlights: * The leasing and maintenance staff are professional, extremely friendly and always ready to assist * The facility is very well maintained and they really went all out on landscaping * Very happy with the amenities which are also very well kept, e.g. there are two bbqs and they are cleaned every day! * The location is incredible, convenient to everything. * Generally speaking the complex is fairly quiet, however the neighbors above us seem to make quite a bit of noise. I guess that is just apartment living. If you are very sensitive to noise you may want to avoid some of the ground level units as AC units might be outside your window. *The complex is very pet friendly. At times I believe there may be more dogs than people. We don't have pets. Of course there are exceptions, but residents generally do a pretty good job cleaning up after their pets. Bottom line, this was a perfect choice for us. We will continue to maximize our time at the Aventine as well as explore and enjoy the surrounding area for the next six months.
