It's an Okay place - but one must be aware - co$tly place!

I just finished moving out of my apartment last week. I was one of the ones lured in by the rent special. $740 for a 2 bedroom apartment home. However, the next year my rent was jacked up to $880 a MONTH! Yes, you read that right! I had to raise so much cane to get it lowered it is not even funny. They only went down about $35 but still. So, if you plan on living there for more than a year, think about that one! Now, for moving out. Get ready to get a whopping three page charge list. Oh, and you, yes you, despite paying thousdands to this company in rent YOU will be responsible for patching all nail holes and getting the carpets professionaly shampood and the apartment professional cleaned. Yes, you read that right. Then you must do a walk through at moving out with the manager present. I have lived in multiple apartments in multiple states and this one takes the cake. They will nickel and dime you to death! The comments about insects (for me spiders and roaches) are valid. And yes, I keep a very clean apartment. However, these buildings are polluted with insects. I mean HUGE roaches are all over the place. i have killed several in my apartment. The buildings are only exterminated once every quarter. However, you get a bill each month of $5 for extermination service!! You will also be billed for trash, cable, water and so on. The water rate is rediculously high. Only two people in my apartment and my husband and I pay $50 a month in water! This is for two showers on average a day, run dishwasher once or twice a week and laundry twice a week. I think you are getting my point here. Oh, and the month to month rent is out of sight! Your rent will increase dramatically if you go month to month at lease end. A breakdown for you is this: GOOD: Well kept/manicured grounds Pool is large (tho can get very crowded on weekends) An okay gym for an apt this size Large bedrooms Suffeceint closets and storage space BAD: HUGE rent increases ROACHES AND INSECTS INFESTED! Little maintenance to buildings (windows are awful) Cheap outdated kitchen appliances Nasty looking old fixtures = its not the 80s anymore! PAPER THIN WALLS - you hear your next door neighbor pissing its so bad. Bathrooms back up to each other. its sick! PAPER THIN FLOORS - if you have a heavy footer above you look out EXTREMELY HIGH utility bills YOU pay for trash, sewer, water, cable exterminator each month! YOU must have carpets professinaly cleaned on move out YOU must cover up all nail holes when moving out..or $10/hole! YOU will be a fool to live here
