This complex has huge disgusting issues. The trash and the recycle centers were constantly overflowing. Obviously the underestimated the amount of trash that would be collected. There are serious cockroach problems. No one cleans the giant cobwebs on the railings and stairwells. Although the grounds around the entrance, the pool, and office are very beautiful and well tended, the complex itself is poorly landscaped. In fact around the units it's plain ugly with scrappy looking shrubs and no flowers. One early evening, I walked upon a baby copperhead just sitting on the sidewalk. I spoke to the office about it, not sure what they could do but maintenance said "it's the sixth snake I killed this year". It was near the dog station, play area and parking spaces. How do you feel safe walking to your apartment after that? The laundry room is used as a play area by unattended children. There was trash on the floor daily.
More importantly, when we moved in the girl in the office failed to tell us about the special card needed to do laundry, as well as forgetting to give us a mailbox key. I went to the laundry room assuming it would accept a debit or credit card, sorted my laundry into 3 machines, added detergent and fabric softener. Imagine having to pull it all back out and wait until the next morning to figure out why I couldn't wash my clothes. Then to go through the nuisance of putting money onto the card is an ordeal - no cash, can't give them cash. As I use a paperless account I had todrive to get a money order, get it back to the office and then finally do that laundry. I will say the office gave me credit for 3 loads of laundry after telling them what happened.
The apartments are very noisy. You can hear everything and neighbors noises are almost amplified. It sounded like elephants lived above me and jogged in circles all day. It was horrible!
Lastly, if you are not Indian or ---- you will feel uncomfortable here. Neighbors are unfriendly yet are unavoidable in the complex. Twenty to thirty people of all ages hang outside the building every evening but if you greet them they glare at you. I couldn't get out of there fast enough, it was such an uncomfortable atmosphere. And when the children are running and riding in the parking lot and you get into your car and the parents watch you, the parents DO NOT tell their children to look out for your car. You literally have to just slowly back up and then wait for them to get out of the street. So annoying when its everyday!
