Smashed window cars in parking garage. Entrance door of garage oftentimes broken and anyone can enter. Facilities do not do a good job of maintaining a safe space, despite high costs in rental. Trash chute oftentimes overfilled.

Nice community but rent has increased every year to an exorbitant amount considering the space and location, especially since the supply of apartments has increased in the area. Pros include convenient location and quiet space. Cons include high rent for given quality, "extra charges" for another company that handles water/sewage bill and for another company that handles rent pay.

Overall it’s been a positive experience here. The management is quite approachable and have always been very responsive to questions and issues. The amenities as phenomenal and the property is generally clean and quiet. They also host multiple events for residents to engage them.

Berkshire is a great place to live. Apartments are full of floor to ceiling light coming through the windows. Maintenance is superb. The front desk staff and manager could not be more pleasant and helpful. I find the property quiet inside, and in a great location for restaurants, shopping and movies.

Overall excellent. Facilities are kept clean, staff are helpful, and community members cause no problems. Quiet community barring draw of neighbors and parking availability is a major plus. Close enough to campus with transportation (bus stops) offered and within walking distance to many stores and restaurants. One of the more modern complexes in the area.

I’ve lived here for 5 years, and it has been excellent the entire time. With the amenities available, including the pool, gym, and community events, and considering the businesses in the area (Casual pint, osteria georgi, kippos, whole foods, trader joes, guglhupf, starbucks), it is very easy living.

I love living here. The apartments are wonderful. The community is vibrant. Locality is excellent. Noise levels come and go depending on neighbors , but overall much better than any other apartment community I have lived in.

The Berkshire community is a beautiful place to live, I love it here! The management and staff are so lovely, professional and sweet. My neighbors are friendly (once you get to know each other) delightful and respectful. It’s overfill been a fun and pleasant experience, they do all that they can to make you comfortable and feel at home.

The living environment is good and convenient. You can walk to Whole Foods. It is equipped with the latest equipment and is easy to live in. I have just started living here, so I would like to try more things and enjoy my life.

Ideal location, but not a great place to live. The walls are thin, and noise pollution is a huge issue. The elevators are not functional ~25% of the time, and sometimes the doors leading into the building do not work. No enforcement of the mask mandate. Parking garage is pretty unsafe.

Excellent building and staff, nicest place Ive ever lived. The building is very convenient to shops, outdoor space, and downtown. The maintenance staff is very timely and helpful. The apartments are beautiful and have high quality appliances.

Overall fair. Staff are professional and amazing. The preparation prior to us moving was poor. Great location, great neighborhood, nice amenities. We love our stay so far with the exception of the poor planning prior to us moving to the apartment.

I love living at Berkshire Chapel Hill! With the helpful leasing office & maintenance staff, luxury apartment finishes, and fun amenities - it is an all around great place to live. Plus, the location is steps away from several grocery stores, shopping, fitness centers, restaurants, and so much more, which is hard to find!

The location is conveniently close to Whole Foods and local restaurants and shopping. The pool and amenities are nice, and I feel safe here. Overall it is luxury living, however the price is slightly steeper than what I would pay for it.

I have absolutely loved living at the Berkshire. Not only is my apartment beautiful, but the amenities and location are incredible! I am steps away from a greenway, Whole Foods, loads of restaurants and bars and fitness studios. It's truly everything I could ask for in an apartment!

Great place with an even better location! Management is responsive and helpful. Units are beautiful and have great finishes. Noise between units is almost never an issue (occasionally you can hear loud activity in the hall but its not a big deal)

Berkshire apartments are a great, safe place to live. I love my apartment floor plan and the staff have been friendly and generous. The leasing process was straightforward and even though I was coordinating my move from a different city, received excellent service. I feel welcomed by the staff and think they do a wonderful job addressing community needs. My only complaint is the poor noise insulationI can hear every footstep, vacuum, dropped item, furniture movement, from my upstairs neighbor (which, especially if you have college students living above you) can be unbearable at times and seriously dampen quality of living. It is unfortunate that for a new building sound insulation is so poor. I have been woken up to stomping, running, and while I've made attempts to address this directly with the resident and staff, have seen little to no change. If more serious measures could be taken to lessen noise in the apartment, Berkshire would be the ideal place to live in Chapel Hill.

I am overall very satisfied with my current living condition. My only real complaint has to do with the set up of the handicap parking. For some reason the handicap parking spots are farther from the building entrance than some regular parking spots. I find this very surprising and somewhat disconcerting considering I am the one handicapped and yet I have to travel farther to get to the entrance than someone who is not handicapped.
