Verified Resident 2016 - 2017

The build materials in the apartments are very cheap. The counter-tops are the cheapest I've ever seen -- they stain easily and are difficult to clean. The doors are hollow-core, so they're very light and slam shut when the A/C kicks on. The blinds are the cheapest plastic blinds you can buy -- not the nice wooden ones. The ceiling fans wobble excessively when they're on. The fireplace faux marble has been stained since we moved in. The fireplace is very difficult to light so we only used it twice the entire winter. The bathrooms are tiny and the master bathroom doesn't even have a tub -- just a shower with a low-quality shower door. Outside the apartment itself, the carpet in the hallway is disgusting and on the first floor smells like old cigarettes and garbage. I work from home and never see or hear anyone vacuum them either. The recycling area is always completely stuffed with recycling and needs to be emptied much more frequently than it is. The carts that are supposed to be available down by the entrance to the elevator are never there. The elevator is like a sauna in the summer-time. The swimming pool is a ridiculous shape that makes no sense at all. You can't swim laps, only wade around in it. There's no playground for children despite the fact that many, many families live here (thus the need for townhomes). You can't keep anything on the balcony (according to the rules), which makes the long, thin balcony almost useless. Plus the balcony overlooks a parking lot -- oh wow, what a view. Then there's the delivery service to the complex. It's hit or miss if Fedex or UPS will bring something to our door. Most of the time we have to walk down to the office. But the office hours are terrible -- 10a.m. to 6p.m. and closed on Sunday -- and there's no way to get into the delivery area when the office isn't open. When I had a package delivered and one of the other residents took it by mistake, the lady at the office was rude and dismissive. She clearly didn't care that something of mine had been effectively stolen (thankfully the person realized their mistake and put it in front of my door later). I'm sure there's more, but that's what I can think of off the top of my head (what does that tell you?) THE LOCATION OF THE COMPLEX IS FANTASTIC, but at $2,500/month for a Townhome I would expect far, FAR better quality materials than the junk this place was built with. It's clear that the owners knew they had a great location so they went cheap on everything else because people want to live in this area. We will be moving soon, and I will never recommend this location to anyone. Thumbs down.
