I have enjoyed living at Madison Hunters Glen thus far. I moved into my unit in July 2022, and have lived there for 7 months now. I rent a one bedroom unit that is very spacious and has nice amenities. One of my main requirements in an apartment was in-unit laundry, which makes a huge difference for me. The appliances are a bit outdated but generally work well, so no complaints there. Maintenance typically responds pretty quickly to requests, and emergency maintenance has been very helpful when I have needed them. The apartment backs up onto the woods, so bugs will get inside sometimes which I am not a fan of, but it's hard to prevent. The screened porch is private and a very nice amenity that few apartments have. The community feels safe and secure despite backing onto two main roads, and the convenience of the Harris Teeter next door is quite nice. Going from a house in a cul-de-sac with roommates to living alone in an apartment in a more urban area was a big change, and I was worried I would feel unsafe. But I have not felt unsafe living in this neighborhood, and every neighbor I have met has been friendly and kind. The apartment is very close to train tracks, so if you are bothered by occasional noise that may be an issue for you, but I have not been bothered by it.
