We originally signed a one bed one bath under a rental company that left about a month after we moved in and they were AWFUL. Riverstone, however, is absolutely fantastic. The fist lease we signed (with the old company) really screwed us over on the rent and since we needed to move out of a city in a hurry, we didn't think too much of it. When we saw what Riverstone was asking, we were able to get out of our lease early, they waived the transfer fee since we had been grossly overpaying, and were able to get in to a two bed/two bath for only an extra $25 a month. The Riverstone staff has always been so willing and friendly--we absolutely adore them. Bruce makes a point to come out and say hi to us and the dogs when he sees us walking by the office; the maintenance guys are absolutely AMAZING; and the valet trash pickup is quite nice since the dumpster is a bit out of the way for the majority of the complex.
The ability to paint our place really makes it feel like home, we have a gorgeous view of the pool, there is a little playground tucked away for taking kids to, the fitness center is nice...we really have no complaints about the complex itself. We can walk to work, we can walk to the grocery store (admittedly we did move from a city where we walked 1+ miles for everything because driving was a nightmare), the highway is close without being too close (we also looked at Caveness and decided we didn't want to have the only entrance to our apartment be a highway).
My absolute ONLY complaint is the neighbors who don't pick up after their own dogs when there are like 5 doggy trashcans in the complex. And the complex has tried to address that by having the valet trash folks pick up once a week. I mean, really, the office does everything they can.
