Yes, people deserve to know that this is a place to avoid. The price is obscene. Half of the staff are either dishonest, incompetent or both. The other half do a decent job, but are only going to do as good of a job as the people around them enable. This not only includes the other half of the people in the office who are not capable of performing basic job requirements, but also the idiotic people higher up in Greystar who create foolish policies. Policies like telling the front office they cannot accept packages (despite being a full year into the COVID lockdowns - and making residents have to chase down packages and beg the front office to not let it get sent to the USPS hub - and despite the fact that some of the laziest members of the front office appeared to initially enjoy this sense of power that comes not having to put forth any effort while getting to threaten that if they don't accept my packages, I'll have to drive to the USPS office to pick it up (but even they are getting tired of it at this point) - and despite the fact that no other apartment community in the Raleigh area is implementing such a "put the customer last" policy - but that's probably so that corporate can sell more mail concierge services, I suppose). Other such policies include not changing air filters at apartments - because of an airborne pathogen that spreads more rapidly (which not only defies logic, but also defies North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services code). Or, policies like skimping on parts throughout the rental units that lead to a poor quality of life for residents while also costing Greystar much more money in the long run. I am not only encouraging my friends to not live at Greystar, I am part of a large number of people who live here who are absolutely fed up with the level of incompetence at Wakefield Glen and are eager to move out. Whoever is accountable for these moronic and harmful policies deserve to lose their jobs, because their feeble minded choices have real consequences for other human beings and they should not be allowed to occupy positions where their negligence can impact so many people. My friends at the NAR and at Associated Builders and Contractors are astounded by how poorly this place is run. I assure you that every legislator I work with at the State and Federal levels will be aware of how much of a fraud this place is, and the next time any legislation comes up that will impact the way Greystar is treated, I will go out of my way to cancel meetings with any trade association associated with Greystar and I will personally enjoy finding regulations that can reciprocate to Greystar this utterly sub-par experience I have had at one of their communities, unless my attorney advises me otherwise.
