Resident ā€¢ 2006 - 2007

1/2/2009

I left a review here after I moved out and I see it's been removed. I wouldn't blame the mangement at BP for wanting it removed, since it was a very bad review. But every word of it was the truth. I was treated horribly by the staff there. I went 10 days during one January there without a working heater. They left me with a space heater that tripped the circut breaker every few hours. It kept one room warm and my child had to sleep with me for days on end. Their solution wasn't to fix the problem. Instead they suggested that I move out. They offered to let me out of my lease, but I couldn't move at the time, and I shouldn't have had to. These people make a quarter of a million dollars a month in rental income and they can't spend money to provide their tenants with the bare minimum. That's disgraceful and they should be ashamed. The buildings are falling into disrepair. Our mailbox front was ripped off by a drunken neighbor and they left it that way for more than a week. He also punched holes hallway walls and they left it that way for months. I'm not sure if this was the same person who used to smoke pot in the laundry room. Oh, let's not forget the CONVICTED child molester who used to live there (until he went back to jail). They had a nice park but nobody could let their kids go out and play. I will admit the grounds are nice and the clubhouse is much nicer. However, the dumpster areas are a nightmare. There was also a prolem with unwanted wildlife in and around the buildings. The dog area is full of broken glass and you can't use it. Everyone else takes their dogs to one particular place and let's them poop without cleaning it up. Another reason you won't see kids out playing. I'm bitter to this day because now I know what it feels like to live in a nice place and to be treated like worthy person. I pay about $200 more for a much bigger (2200 sq feet) townhouse, central air, washer and dryer, 3 bathrooms, insulated windows, weekly community events, my own backyard, a storage unit off my patio, two swimming pools and a fitness center three times as big. I actually got a discount on my rent when the property taxes were reduced. Can you imagine BP giving any type of dicount? If you're looking to rent there, they will be really nice to you. They will show you the model unit and you will be impressed. But once those keys are in your hands, the show is over!
